Team lost to Denver in the playoffs that year, but Hawkins was really a great addition. Here's hoping Vincent Fuller has that sort of impact--I really feel he could be a huge difference maker if he can play to that level.

A return to the cat defense would be an improvement.

Small???

Obviously the writer has never seen the Patriots DBs, WRs or RBs.

He's under 200 lbs at 6'1". No reason a stocky shorter DB would necessarily have trouble holding up, I believe the writer is trying to say he's skinny.

FWIW (and that's not much) he is rated 76 in Madden, making him our 2nd best safety.

My buddy is a crazy Hokies fan and tends to know a great deal about their NFL alums. He says Fuller is a solid tackler who doesn't make very many mistakes. Not likely to make many jawdropping plays or be great against the run, but should be serviceable in passing situations.

I think SMY posted something about this but I can't recall a year when there has been more bottom-of-the-roster tinkering than 2011.
