Hopefully, my perspective will be changed by events over the next few days. See belwo for my list. And BTW, none of this has anything to do with spying, tampering or the NFL offices.
Moss is rumored to be looking at other teams.
Gaffney was not extended.
Washington was not restructured and extended.
Faulk was arrested.
Andrews was arrested.
Bruschi is rumored to be retiring.
Colvin was cut.
Lua was cut.
Samuel is almost assuredly gone.
Gay was not extended.
Wilson was not extended.
Did I miss anything?
Was there any good news on the player front? BTW, I expect Seau to be back after playing in the sun until the beginning of August.

Unless his hiring was something done just in case Belichick is suspended on Spygate nonsense... Which prob is not , but the way this month has gone you never know..
I'm still in shock about the Colvin cut and I have a hard time making sense given what little we know at this point that the Pats simply chose to cut the guy while taking a $1.8m dead money hit. There's a serious hole in the heart of the defense.
we lost ty law and he was a lot better then samuel gay is not that good any way we where 18 and 0 and and we have the 7th pick in the draft we will be ok
Just to be clear, since Colvin was in the last year of his contract, they're not really taking a dead money hit; no new money is moving onto the cap. (Yes, there's cap allocation being taken up by a player no longer on the team, but that's not quite the same thing.)
Have we won a SB since Ty Left?
Also, let us just accept that Thomas will replace Colvin on the outside. That leaves a huge void inside as in 2005. Hopefully, this time the SAME front office will do better in addressing the situation.
Dead money is cap money being allocated to a player not on the squad. The $1.8M is dead money because it is cap money that cannot be used on a player.
There has to be a plan in all of this,
Colvin too much of a cap hit.. could be back, there were some issues with him shedding blocks..
Moss.. really believe he will be back
Bruschi.. needs to move on, as much as we all care about him
Washington.. will be back
Samuel... too rich for our blood, we will be having conversations about a system CB soon.
Lua.. hardly knew ye
Wilson.. did not play all that much
Gay.. will be back.
Faulk.. not that big a deal..
Stay tuned, we will be ok and our D will look different next year.. in our close games our LB crew was tested too much, and even though they held their ground for the most part there is a need for an upgrade..
We've literally been within two plays of winning two. Not to mention that Law missed all the playoffs last time we won the SB.Have we won a SB since Ty Left?
suck it up big boy why dont you wait until the offseason is over to predict gloom and doom you chicken littleHopefully, my perspective will be changed by events over the next few days. See belwo for my list. And BTW, none of this has anything to do with spying, tampering or the NFL offices.

obviously the PATS were not going to pay that much for a guy consistently hurt like Colvin
So, does this mean Seymour's next on the chopping block?
