BB is from the old school football cloth where any advantage was welcome. They made use of the new technology for archives and probably had a guy trying to steal signals in real time, a guy who reviewed these tapes to get tells etc. Then the NFL comes out and says no cameras on the field, it's ok if they're covered etc. BB being the practical man he is looks at this and says what the hell is the difference in the end, this is another rule aimed directly at the Patriots and not other teams because they do it differently. Having had enough of the NFL trying to tamper with the Pats MO he says screw it I'll do it anyway, it's not really that big a deal. This would explain why he did it in the face of Goodell's memo. That being said the new Commish was an idiot not realizing that every fan and media person alike is a conspiracy theorist with an agenda, and this thing would have a life of its own especially if he handed out a harsh penalty. IMbiasedO I believe that he should have given them a slap on the wrist with the promise that the next team caught would be severely punished. As it stands his actions and words are now in conflict, he hands out an extremely harsh penalty but says that it wasn't a big deal and that all teams do it; this only adds fuel to fire that there was more than we saw or than he is saying.
