Good a place as any to put this.

ESPN asked 100 random celebrities (and I do mean random) to make their picks:

It was quite interesting to see who picked the Giants, and why. Bloomberg's comments about who the "better team" is were particularly enlightening, mayor of NYC or not.

I love that most "experts" are picking a close game. This game is going to be a blowout. Perloff called 42-17 Pats, it will be in that neighborhood.

Simmons also picks NE 42-17. I like where this is going.

If he wants to pick the NYG, fine, I guess, but to have us scoring just 20 points is simply crazy.

Agreed. This quote says its all.

"Giants will follow with scores against aging, tiring, depressed and despondent New England defense."

Other than last years Indy game when we were sick and tired.....when have the Pats EVER been in that condition. Especially after 2 weeks rest.

This is just the old fools last great hope to solidify his self-righteousnous with regards to his feelings about BB, camera-gate and Moss.

Got to love this quote :

"The Giants will win because no team has played better football in the last month"

I guess it's because the last two wins by 4 and 3 points were just SO DAMN IMPRESSIVE

also... as far as aging defenses go....

Strahan is 36.

Madison is 33.

I hope our fast youthful offense doesn't wear them out:singing:

He actually thinks that NE will score 2 late TDs to bring it up to 20. He actually expects NY to hold NE to 6 points until the 4th quarter.

Man, what was more impressive, coughing up a 12 point lead or hitting at a 0.333 clip in game winning field goals.

"Mayor of NYC or not"?? :D Aw come on WIQ, what else could a mayor possibly say?

Though I think his mother still lives around here. A wing of a local synagogue is named for her.

From the article:

MICHAEL BLOOMBERG
Mayor of New York City Giants, 31-28. Well, I can tell you that when I lived in the Boston metropolitan area, they did not have a football team so nobody can accuse me of having been a Patriots fan. I am a New York fan. There is a game and I don't want to jinx it by talking about it but I think the best team will win and that's clearly the Giants.

Oh, CLEARLY.

I just hope he has the decency to eat crow after the Giants lose. He probably doesn't though and will just come up with some lame excuse when his predictions dont come true.

Dr Z also picks Tuck as the MVP. When was the last time a DE was the MVP of a superbowl? Seriously.

What do celebrites know about football? If ESPN asked them about Drugs, Oscars or Overblown Egos, maybe their opinions would be revelant.

I of course expect him to pick the Giants, he'd be an idiot not to.

I only thought it was funny because he said the Giants were "clearly" the better team. I just can't believe I missed that all this time.

Giants, 7-3. I think they're due. And they've become destiny's team. May the best team win. This is not to say that I have any animosity towards the NE Patriots and Tom Brady. They're the best people in the world.

As if I don't worry about the CIA enough, that pick from Hayden makes me want to cry. The CIA under the stewardship of that guy? Yeesh.
