What will your game day be like?

Sounds like a great afternoon of Pats watching!! I will be at my house with my husband, 2 kids, mom and dad all wearing our Pats gear! We have 3 flags flying outside of our house and mom and myself will be making the food!! We have a 55 inch LCD with HD to watch the game on and all kinds of Pats horns, whistles and beads to wave! LOL

Going to be a great day! :)

I'll be on here checking things out. Might be making my world famous cheesecake to bring to my buddy Billy's house. He always has a SB party, but of course it'll be extra special this year. He'll have some of the FD guys and some of the nurses from the hospital. I want to try to make a Lombardi Trophy to bring to the party.

My GF is going, and I told my mother she had to call in sick if we made it into the SB. She said she couldn't and I told her that she needs to enjoy life. She's 72 and I think Walmart can survive without her for a night. She went in the other night and told them her kids had made plans to take her out. They told her that the schedule was already made and she would have to find a replacement. The boss said she'd try to help her out. My mom told me she wasn't going in anyway. Past years I have driven home and picked her up at halftime, right about when she getrs home, and brought her to his party.

It's gonna be a great night. I just wish it would get here! :D

You are the man! And your Mom ROCKS! WAL-MART Sucks! and the PATS are gonna win the SUPERBOWL! GO PATS!

Thanks dude. I tell her that all the time. Me and my GF laugh because she always goes home with a blue bag. But she loves her job, she was in the hospital last year and couldn't wait to go back. She's the best. :rocker:

I'll be at a conference in NYC that week and into Saturday.

Scheduled to fly home on Sunday afternoon, arriving at 1 pm.

If there's bad weather and I get stuck, I'll croak!

I'll be nervous the whole morning making sure my flight arrives on time.

You need to get a new job!

:D

God Bless Her bro. Tell her the PATRIOT NATION loves her! GO PATS!

I can't take any pre-game show, most specifically this one. I'll show up wherever I'll be to watch the game no more than 15 minutes before kickoff.

There's a college basketball game I want to see but it starts at 3:30 and it's about a 40 minute drive from where I'm probably going so that's cutting it way too tight. So that's out. Not sure how I'm going to kill the time during the day.

I agree with you....will be unable to sit through the ball washing that all talking heads will be giving the gints.........especially considering what it has already been like THIS week on ESPN and the like......it is gints coverage on every occasion....very little about the Pats........I will turn the game on 15 mins to kickoff.....cooking a few rib eye steaks, shrimp ****tail, alot of appetizers, and tons and tons of Boston beers......Harpoon IPA is at the top of the list.....then Sammy....and a few micros!!! GO PATS!!!! Here is an early cheers hoping you all enjoy what should be a great day for the Pats and us fans......!!!!

Well, my first born is due in exactly 16 days (aka 1 week AFTER SB Sunday). Provided my loving wife / converted football fan (long story, her father is a Broncos fan / football Nazi; to the point I was forbiden from coming over when NE lost to them in the playoffs), doesn't go into labor on SB Sunday (as everyone is joking :( lol), then we'll be watching at our friends new condo. I should probablly see if I can bring my 3'x5' flag over.

I'll be deciding to wear my Brady or Moss or Thomas jerseys, and my wife will be sporting my Bruschi jersey most likely. I'll be sure to bring a couple of good Cigars and my good Scotch with me.. as well as my Capt. Morgans rum.

If my loving wife has the baby prior to the game, he'll be dressed in his little patriots onsie with his little patriots cap and patriots booties... If not, then we'll be on labor alert I guess lol.

All I know is that Sunday Feb 3rd 2008 can't get here soon enough!

:) I too am lucky enough to be going to the game :rocker: Knowing me I will be in line to enter the stadium as soon as they open! My friend that I am going with went to the SB last year and has advised to leave at least 1.5 hours just to get through security into the stadium  Would love to meet up with any other Pats fans!

I teach fifth grade. Report cards are to go home the Friday following the game. I will spend Sunday working on them. The amount of time they take is immense but it will help pass the time and help me focus on something else. If, somehow, they are done, I'll to go school, print them, collate them, etc.

This is a little tough, since I live in midtown Manhattan. Frankly, I have to accept the fact that there will be drunks-a-plenty on Second Avenue where I live (ground zero for the midtown sports bar scene) and that they will be, shall we say, a tad little bit "sensitive," on game day. If I were 20 years younger, I might put on my hoodie and hit the streets and take my chances, but I think Wisdom will be the better part of valor on Super Sunday.

My problem was solved when I went to the Pats Pro Shop website today and found a terrific Pats flag, which I ordered for express delivery. So, just about when the Pats have taken control of the game, that baby will be flying from the window of our apartment, right in the heart of enemy territory. A couple of hours after the game is over, when the drunks have passed out in the bars or on the subway, I'll venture out onto the streets wearing one of my SB caps and with a fine cognac in hand.

Like every other Sunday...

Wake up

Take a leak

Brush the teeth

get the Sunday paper

make eggs and toast.

Talk some **** here in the forum until the game.:D

You my friend, have my deepest loyalty and esteem! That is frigin awesome! Give those GIANT FANS hell! GO PATS!

I am stuck in North Carolina (New Hampshire native, lifetime Pats fan).

When the Chargers beat the Colts, I bought a plane ticket to fly to New Hampshire so I can be with my family to watch the game. They instilled this love of the Pats in me, and I really want to be with my fellow New Englanders for this amazing situation. My wife is flying up with me: she has been great. Not a big football fan but she is caught up in my craziness. She even has been wearing a Pat Patriot shirt I bought her before the first Giants game.

So, up at my Uncles home in South Hampton NH with my mom, cousin, Uncles, Aunt, and any other stragglers. If only my dad could be here. He used to laugh when I was a kid and would run around yelling "Sam Bam Cunningham."

It's gonna be a special event. My friends in NC don't understand, they don't understand how emotional I get during games, and they generally generate bad karma at this point because they have jumped on the Pats-hatin' bandwagon.

So my trip kills two birds with one stone: avoid killing my friends, and be with my NE family to see the game.

Plus, I'll be able to buy the Globe the next day!!! :)

I can't freaking wait!!!

PS I wrote a long post about this and how much it means to me, posted before the Chargers game:
http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/showthread.php?t=74061

This is more than a game for me now. A cultural legacy is on the line. An event, an "ever" event that everyone here will have as a vivid memory for the rest of their lives. I know that sounds cheesy, but if anywhere people on this board understand....

I'm going to roll out of bed...walk out onto the private beach...and start thinking of where on Grand Cayman I'll find the best scene for another New England Patriot Super Bowl Victory...

yeah

I made a strategic move this holiday season. I have a 52" rear projection HDTV that I watch most sporting events on. My Dad is 81 and I like watching games with him but he had a regular tv.

Tough choice, your old buddy Dad or HDTV.

So this Xmas I talked my Mom into going in with me to get my Dad a 42" Plasma HDTV.

Now I can watch with my Dad and still get HDTV and he is as happy as a pig in shyt with his new TV. Its 10" smaller than mine but the plasma picture is better so it has worked out well.

Its funny, my Dad was 75 before he ever saw a championship from either the Sox or Pats. Now at 81 he is looking at his 6th championship in the past 6 years. What a friggin turn around!

that's awesome--I turned my mom and her boyfriend onto a 20" LCD a few years back, and they were so amped that they asked me to find them a 42" plasma for him the next year. what a treat to know how happy he is watching the Sox and Pats on a big HD screen!
