Probably a little high but I expect a big win. The Chargers' only wins against playoff teams this year are the ones in the playoffs and regular season to the same Indy and Tenessee.

Their "winning streak" to end the season ?

Baltimore
KC
Tenessee
Detriot
Denver
Oakland

Puke.

Then factor in travel and injuries and . . . .

1/20 3:00 ET At New England -15.5 San Diego [51]

This game should be off the board pending the status of Philip Rivers. It's also further compromised if LT can't go.

I was assuming that's why it's so high. I know we love our Pats, but 15.5 points is a hell of a lot of points for an AFC Championship game. I figured it'd open 11pts and go to around 14 later in the week *with everyone healthy*, but opening 15.5 provides some protection for bookmakers if it's declared those guys are out (which likely wont be), so there's still room for movement either way. Turner is a very solid backup RB.

even if sd wasn't beaten up that makes sense

Nah. Spread should be around 10 if Rivers and LT are playing and are 80% or better.

Too much spread. I lost 10,000 Charger Bucks this weekend because the Pats didn't cover the spread. 15.5 is waayyyy to many points.

Kind of a huge spread, but the Chargers ARE the huge underdogs in this matchup.

If Billy Volek is playing next Sunday....there's no doubt that we are going to be royally screwed. If Turner has a good game he should go for a few yards. But Rivers and LT need to be in there if we want a shot at winning next week.

Packers open as 6.5 favorites against the Giants.

imo, there can't be a meaningful spread until the status of rivers and LT are clarified. 15.5 strikes me as way too high if they are both healthy.

I wouldn't touch that spread until reliable injury reports are confirmed.
The Chargers defense is playing some serious ball right now.

Rivers said he could have gone back in today. I'm assuming he starts. I'm sure Gates' toe won't get any better. He'll probably play in a limited role. LT is the one whom will be an interesting decision. Hell, they looked better with M. Turner(The Burner...love that nickname) and D.Sproles. No LT. But, they are both very good.
