What the Jets are accusing the Patriots of is a common practice throughout the league. League Executives bloviating over this are acting like the police captain in Casablanca, who was "shocked to find that gambling was going on" at Rick's nightclub. They are grandstanding for the press. This issue is not really about "videotape" at all. It is about competitors seeking an opening to tear down the best team, organization and coach in the league. You would think true fans of the Patriots would stand by their team, coach and organization at least until the true facts emerge, and the real motives behind these assaults are exposed. Instead these so called fans have turned on their coach quicker than you can say "3 Sb titles". Fairweather fans are the real disgrace in this fake firestorm.

I will agree with your point, but at the same time there are some very loyal fans as well!!!

Not going to defend anyone else, but everyone does not have the peer group or time much of us seem to have, in reality many trust NFL or ESPN to the point that if a clown like Schelereth says we were cheating, we were cheating. There has not been a lot of intelligence on the sportchannels, including WEEI.

Something's not right about the whole thing. I mean if the Pats did what everybody said they did then they would have been punished by now. Open and shut case - if the video is of opposing signals, then the Pats are busted. There wouldn't be any "defending their case" or anything about it. The NFL doesn't have a court of law - that's why they suspended Pacman before he even was convicted of anything. What is a "preliminary determination of guilt" anyways?

I agree it is an open and shut case, which is why we'll get some sort of ruling by the end of this week. I mean, what do you want them to do..? Look at the video and issue a ruling 5 minutes later without even letting the Pats present a case...? Gimme a break. Even Pacman Jones and Michael Vick had a chance to meet with Goodell and present their cases before any ruling was issued.
