Thursday Night Football....Raiders @ Chiefs

If that's what you think you learned, you didn't learn anything.

The biggest takeaway from tonight's game is that Derrick Johnson ruptured his Achilles tendon. That's a huge blow to the Chiefs.

I am pretty sure the Chiefs shut down the Raiders with and without Derek Johnson. The Raiders had 1 drive right after he got hurt. So you thought KC had a good offensive performance at home against a bad defense? KC Offensively put up 14 points. And you thought Derek Carr performed well? I am pretty sure that was one of the worst QB performances I have seen this year. The first time the chiefs won a game with a -3 turnover differential in like 60 years.

Bennett's the big key if this offense will thrive. He has to be a factor on offense to open it up.

You are making the mistake with the assumption that we will continue playing the same as with Gronk. And the same time you are also underrating our coaching staff and the role Dion Lewis will play. Our offense will morph into something different than it was in the first part of the season.

Supposedly the failed Carr pass to Cooper towards the end of the game hit one of the wires of the NBC spider camera which would explain Cooper's weird reaction at the tailend of the play..

To be fair I have not seen any conclusive evidence that it really happened but then again if it turns out to be true I am sure we will get hammered with proof pretty soon..

So if the Pats with the next 3 of 4 games is the #1 seed guaranteed no matter what?

Glad KC won this one because of the obvious implications for No 1 seed. That AFC West situation and schedule really helps the Patriots with them all battling against each other.
The team I am wary of, come the play-offs is the Steelers, just something in my gut about them. However, I'm hoping the Patriots will do them a service on Monday night.;)

yes, the pats get the 1 seed if they lose no more than 1 game, even if KC and Oakland win out. and if the pats and oakland end up tied, it's the pats who own the tiebreaker now. last night's KC win was huge.

Didn't watch this game but I've suspected Oakland of being a fraud for a while now. KC, I'm on the fence.

I don't think they are a fraud.
They lost a game they had a chance to tie in a hostile environment vs a very strong rival.
Both are excellent teams.
Are the Patriots frauds after losing to the Seahawks?

If I had to guess, I'd say our SB path is probably Oak, KC and then Seattle.

Den @ Pitt = Pitt win
Oak @ Hou/Indy = Oak win

Pitt goes on to play KC and we play Oakland. We murder Oakland because they're not ready yet and KC squeaks out a win against Oak. KC comes here and looks awful because they don't have what it takes to get over their AFCCG yips.

I think Seattle easily handles anything the NFC throws at them because there's some serious frauds in the NFC right now *cough*GB/Dal*cough*
Good front 7 vs Seattle Oline and Wilson bad day and now without Earl thomas. Wont be so easy if right team against them. But i agree. They are favorites.

What's funny is that the number one seed will definitely have a tougher game in round one than the two seed.

Big hope for me is that the Pats have their seeding wrapped up before the Miami game. Would love guys like Bennett to be able to rest for three weeks.

What I'm hoping for is to have the Fins beat the Jets and Bills and come to the last game of the year vs the Pats with a chance to knock out the Broncos. The Pats could have the #1 seed clinched and play all the subs.

I'm not sure why you think the #1 seed will have a tougher game than #2. That will depend on who wins in the WC round.

Cool thanks for the reply. I think our best chance to secure #1 would be to win Monday night, losing Monday makes losing 2 in a row a real possibility having to go into Denver on a short week.

that game was evenly matched - bunch of scoring changes

The Raiders are going to be 1 and done frauds.

KC is this seasons 2001 Patriots and they are the last team that I want NE to face. Pittsburgh is next.

Bennett has been resting all season.

Agreed on Oakland.

KC is playing its best and getting healthy at the right time.

A very enjoyable game with a good outcome for the Pats. Chiefs defense was stout and Tyreek Hill was electric on that return!

Both would be worthy opponents in the playoffs but I think the Pats are much better on offense. Given a choice, I think we'd match up better against Oakland.

This is another great opportunity. Let's hope we can cash in going down the stretch.

Wow if true. Can't wait to hear "The wire is a part of the field" type stuff.
