but I saw Blount get knocked back behind the LOS a few times today

Newsflash every RB gets knocked behind the line a few times each game. But i'm sure you also conveniently missed him running for 44 yards and a TD on 4th down and then making another decent run on 4th down

Pats still put up 400 yards of offense

How much did sheard play and howd he do? Couldn't watch the game but saw he influenced on of the picks.

You guys should see the local news in LA right now. Eric ****erson is on there right now - he's basically saying "look, we know Fisher doesn't belong on the same field as Belichick. I'm not surprised this happened and I don't get why the team seems to be okay with it".

Everyone's piling on, even the lead anchor who doesn't know anything about football. Just ripping the Rams for extending Fisher when they should be firing him on account of how he sucks.

Jeff Fisher has banned ****erson from the sideline because he was critical of Fisher. ****erson just said (paraphrasing) "I don't care, I don't want to go to another Rams game while Fisher's the coach. We know how this goes."

LOL, ****erson literally just asked who Fisher has naked pictures of that he's blackmailing.

No **** man really? I didn't see that.

Both teams were terrible on 3rd down
The Patriots were an awful 4 of 16 (35%) on third down, salvaged slightly by two conversions on two fourth down attempts. The Patriots found themselves in a lot of long distance situations and they needed 7 or more yards on 9 of their 16 third down attempts.

The situation was due to penalties and poor execution on first down, which set up 2nd-and-long and a difficult conversion opportunity.

Also:

The Patriots generated 5.36 yards per play (YPP), the 4th lowest mark on the season.

5th: 5.50 YPP vs Cardinals in week 1
4th: 5.36 YPP vs Rams in week 13
3rd: 5.33 YPP vs Bills in week 4
2nd: 5.31 YPP vs Jets in week 12
1st: 4.78 YPP vs Texans in week 3

I think without Gronk this is what we can expect going forward.

He played well. Tipped passes. Pressure on the QB. Gurley didn't get much..

Mike Silver was on radio here in the bay area and blasted ****erson and said in his opinion fisher is a great coach . thats how access plays a role in how the media reports news.

4/16...they won the game in the 1st quarter and YOU are scared...jeezus

There are people panicking over the fact that the offense 'only' got to 26 points in 3 quarters before sending out the garbage time offense. It's kinda remarkable, makes it obvious who came into today's game determined to find things to complain about.

I see Mike Silver is continuing his longstanding tradition of having no ****ing idea what he's talking about... and making damn sure to be a **** about it.

I don't even think NE showed their entire force this game anyway. Who would respect Fisher enough to go full out? I bet if NE wanted 33 points, they could of gotten it.

Mike Silver with Golden Corral in the background...now THAT is what you call symmetry...cardboard sports guy sponsored by cardboard food

We can expect 400 yards per game going forward? I hope you're right - that would be fantastic.

I'm happy we faced LA today though. Call me arrogant, but the team makes a great practice dummy. I had a feeling there was no way they'd score more than 16-17 points. Even 14 would be hard with that offense.

There were so many things to be happy about that the few disappointments (stalled drives through miscues and snuffed-out screens) aren't that significant.

The D was the opposite of vanilla (tutti frutti with nuts and chocolate chips?) They couldn't have been much stouter against the run and the variety in the pass rush was impressive. What's more, a lot of less heralded players made plays (Rowe, McLellin, Van Noy, Ryan). Also, so far as I could see, Jabal Sheard was all over the field (especially in coverage). All that and two interceptions.

All three running backs had their moments -- though LGB was clearly the pick of them. The 4th-and-1 touchdown was a beautiful, beautiful run. Give the Rams credit for adjusting in the second half, but it was still a very good performance from the backs. And Hogan, Mitchell and JE11 all did some very good things.

The Gost was finally back to being the reliable kicker we know and love.

It's true that the offense seemed to miss Gronk and Marty B. didn't fill the void, but I'm pretty confident that they'll find ways to adjust as we go on.

Great win. On to Baltimore!

we were on Fisher the entire game...he IS an idiot head coach...no, really...he is STUPID...period

He looked like he just woke up, clueless and he couldn't find red flag to challenge on sideline catch and ref was laughing like you D*ckhead and not sure if he even found it to throw.

The rest of the season will be a slog on offense... We can expect 33% third down conversions going forward and if teams bottle up the run it'll be worse...2 touchdowns and 4 fg Vs one of the worst teams in the league AT HOME is bad... Something tells me the 4 yard passing attack isn't gonna work next monday
