Ninkovich getting MRI on injured tricep...

Grade II's can be really tricky. They're not quite a Grade III where you require surgery but they are very limiting and hurt like hell. I had a Grade II tear of my left pectoral muscle and I was out for a good two months and then reaggravated after being back in the gym for a month. The pain subsides rather quickly but it's very easy to reaggravate if it's not given enough time to heal and scar tissue builds up making the risk of reaggravation greater. Luckily the tricep is smaller and Nink has some of the best trainers to put him on the fast track to recovery.

Your time to shine, Flowers!

My hope for the Cardinals was the defense stepping up big time and making Carson Palmer look like that Carson Palmer who goes Jay Cutler once every 4 or 5 games. He is talented but sometimes he just takes all the bad decisions he can take in one single game. Ninkovich would play a big role if BB went with a strategy in this direction because Ninko is very smart and a leader to the new guys. Then I was hopping we could pull an upset in an ugly game like 19-17.

With a triceps tear on a defensive lineman they need to err on the side of caution so I don't think he plays game 1.

How has Trey Flowers been performing in camp so far? I'm expecting (I don't want to use the word "big") big things from him this year, spelling Nink and Sheard (I think he'll leap frog McClellin) and maybe some interior pass rush. There are so many threads and posts that I haven't been able to read through them all but I haven't seen any posts regarding Trey and his performance thus far. He's going to have to produce because he'll be getting his share of snaps.

It's still to be seen whether he will get snaps. Sheard and long figure to get most while nink is out and nink may miss 0 to 2 games only.
I don't think he is competing with McClellan. I think McClellan is a lb here.

He looked pretty good last night on a couple of plays, even if it was vs. the scrubs.
He also looks bigger than last year.

I have a lot of optimism for flowers.
But he is competing fur the 4th DE spot right now.

I really like when we play DEs inside on 3rd down.
I think somethin we saw last night is interesting Hightower at nickel DE.
we could have a 3rd down front 7 with 2 of long flowers sheard inside and 2 of nink Hightower sheard outside with McClellan and jc at lb.

Actually given that group all 6 players could be considered possible DEs and at least 4 could be considered lb so we could throw 6 of them out there and make up any kind of rush scheme.

I sure hope you caught the game last night.

Just heard in 98.5 that Ninko is present at practice WITH HIS HELMET ON!!!

Whenever I see NFL players recover it makes me think of MLB players, who didn't used to play with minor injuries, at least back when I paid attention.

All of which only goes to prove that no one on any message board who speculates on the severity of any injury has the slightest, f###### idea what they're talking about. None. Zero. Especially beware of the poster(s) who write, "I had a (fill in the blank ailment) when I was 23 and my priest gave me the last rights, my parents bought a cemetery plot and my wife ran off with the mailman because she was sure I was a goner." Oh, and the media members who claim to have inside info are also almost always often full of crap, also.

Oh, and now it seems Malcolm Mitchell's MRI came out clean, also. Want some laughs? Go back and look at the posts from the quack, amateur doctors who posted their official diagnoses on this board after Mitchell's injury last Thursday night. Hilarious...

Yeah, but at the same time it's kind of why a message board exists in part. We should be able to discuss these things and I don't see the problem if someone who has experienced something similar shares that, including their timeline for feeling right again. We do things like that in everyday life all the time. If we're wrong, we're wrong. The problem is people don't generally like to admit when they're wrong and everyone thinks his or her viewpoint, opinion or diagnosis is the be all, end all. we tend to forget in that moment that even doctors get it wrong sometimes, and they actually physically examine the players. So it wouldn't be someone on a message board with zero contact to the player and medical equipment/training that would be immune to getting it wrong from time to time. Just my .02.
