Alan Millstein: Brady's chances of en banc hearing dramatically improved with latest amicus filings

Let me put it this way folks - for those of you who don't consider that the NFL is in the business of fixing games

Let's just say that the NBA blatantly and boldly fabricated a charge against James or Curry and suspended them for the finals

Most would consider the NBA benching each team's best player to be "fixing games" in a way far worse than Donaghy's and other Refs attempts to "influence the outcome"

And of course that's exactly what the NFL is doing to Brady by suspending him for a quarter of a 16 game season

Except Butler's int was so out of the blue that the refs weren't prepared for anything like what happened and couldn't think fast enough to throw a flag. Once they knew what happened, it was way too late.
Yes because we have never seen referees change their minds on calling a penalty, even after a play is completed.

Wait, whuh??

I'm the furthest thing from a conspiracy theorist but even I would be naive to think the NFL would not try to influence the outcome of games or even a judges decision given that they donated over $30 million for concussion research but took half of it back when they weren't allowed to use their doctors to conduct it.

Can't wait until the "deflategate" books start coming out.

Walt Anderson - "Deflategate: The Gauge I really used."

Tom Brady - "Deflatefraud: I didn't do sh!t"

JJ and McNally - "How the NFL framed TB"

The Spurs are boring and from a small market. How do the tinfoil heads explain their dominance?

If the refs were out to get the Patriots (fix games), then Butler would have been called for DPI and the Seahawks would have been repeat champions.

Is the field tilted? Every fan base things the league/refs are biased against their team. Heck most fans think the pats get all the calls (which is opposite what I think, so objectivity is probably out the door for every fan).

That's in regards to the refs. The league office, well I think we all feel the same on that one.
I have a former friend who despises the Patriots more than anyone I know. Every, single call or game that has ever gone against his teams in any sport has always been the result of crooked officiating. He's the only person I have ever heard suggest that Butler was guilty of pass interference. Where did that BS come from? Does anyone know of a reputable individual who has suggested this?

No, because reputable people know that Butler has a right to make a play on the ball. If the receiver was standing there and Butler went through his back, that's PI. But what happened was both players were attacking the same spot (with one player attacking it a lot harder than the other).

The only PI on that play was Seattle's failed attempt to run a pick.

Tony, I apologize but that is NOT the quote I want to hear from that banana headed miscreant. What I want and would suspect he would utter after a year in the federal pen, after his teeth have all been knocked out is THIS------------>

my athole hurths....MY ATHOLE HURTHS!!!!...halphhhhhhhh!

ok, so now we're back to the en banc hearing is likely to be granted.

why don't the experts just come out and say "we have no idea what we're talking about."

That last sentence epitomises this entire thread. So many pages yet devoid of any verifiable facts. I just skip and read a few posts every five or so pages and see which Way the wind is blowing that day

Exactly. And as far as the "experts" go, they've got it down cold: you eventually predict every possible outcome will occur, and when something finally happens, you say, "nailed it!"

Who is Michelle McQuirk? NFL lawyer?
