They took a chance on Easley and unfortunately it did not workout. He has all the talent but cannot stay healthy. He has yet to play a full season and has had knee problems since College. His rookie contract will probably be his last.

If he signs, then along with our other pickups, I think we can stop 3rd and Long Fairley Easley......

Thank you all, you've been a gr8 audience. I'll be here all week.
Ha
BB is ten steps ahead coaches around the league will be telling their backs and oline that they can beat the unit Fairly Easley and no one will try their hardest.

Too premature in your analysis. His rookie year was 9/10ths better than every NE rookie drafted by BB. Last year before he got dinged up he led ALL NFL interior DTs in QB pressures per rush.

so far Easley is Ras-I Dowling 2.0........ unfortunately, I doubt he will ever be regular contributing football player.

Ras-I Dowling contributed jack **** when he was healthy.. Easley was a boderline great pass rusher this season.

Holy cow. People are now hyping Easley?

This place is off its meds.

Gonna have to disagree with this. He was good when he played this year. He has worked out because the talent he showed in college he showed in the nfl this season. Ya he hasn't had a full season but his talent is there, you don't give up on a player with his kind of talent..

His rookie contract will absolutely not be his last, he may not make anywhere close to what he would if he could finish a season. But I see Belichick opting to decline his 5th year option and instead try to work out a heavily incentivized extension based on playing time

Are you saying he can't play?

I'm saying he can't stay on the field. I'm saying his on-field game, while fine in a limited role, hasn't been anything to write home about, especially from a first round pick who was supposed to be a steal due to medical issues.

I'm saying hyping him, at this point, is ridiculous. I know it's the offseason, but does that mean that people need to lose their minds?

An illustration of how good Easley can be

In 275 snaps he had 36 QB pressures

Aaron Donald in 597 snaps had 79 pressures

EDIT: and just for any contrarians looking I took out the number of rush attempts against the Rams defense because Donald couldn't force a QB pressure on a run. As for Easley not sure how many of his 275 were runs.

Easley has plenty of talent. His rookie year he wasn't over his knee surgery, he attempted to get on the field to soon. Last year he fell in an awkward position and an o-lineman landed on him and he injured his hip, the knees and the hip aren't related, to say he can't stay on the field is a little pre-mature. To say hes Ri Dowling is ludicrous. Willie MaC had all kinds of health issue the first couple of years, in the end we remember him as being on the field and a really good player for the team.

It's always amusing to watch mindless, parasitical Idiots bitterly squeal about Independent Thinkers!!

There's a perfect example of this place being off its meds.

2011 ACL injury in game against FSU
2012 2 games missed due to injury
2013 ACL injury in game against Kentucky
2014 Injured again - to IR
2015 Injured again - to IR

I like the Fairly idea, even though we lost our 1st round pick, what is this the 5th former 1st round pick they signed this year??? The FU Roger tour continues..

Wasn't he a draft binkie in days gone past..

Yes, and I believe he went before our pick of Solder.
