BB had no issue giving a low upside pure slot WR 5 years 31 million dollars in 2013. That is what is so frustrating.

Amendola was a less explosive Welker at most. That panic signing post Welker departure is still costing us 3 years later.

Proof once again, it's all about the mighty dollar and very rarely ever about winning.

not every player is like tom brady, i dont think bill understands that. you can't just say " take a paycut and win a title "

anyway, it's time to bring Lafell back. he knows the system, just hope he regains his 2014 form. with a full offseason, who knows what happens. he should be completely healthy.
bill has to sign percy/make a run at kearse.

edelman, lafail, percy, dola?, kearse, martin

cut dobson

Dude ran a 4.7 at the combine in 2003. He's always been slow as ****, and that never stopped him from putting together a borderline-HOF career before now. Weirdly enough, I think that's exactly why he's aged so well. He never had any of the skills that you're supposed to lose as you age, so even in his current washed up form he's still about 90% as good as he was in his prime.
Y/C declining steadily from 15.6 4 years ago to 11.4 last year. Brings solid skills and great attitude, but less than 90% of what he was. Nobody left gonna worry defensive coordinators.

Again only receivers in this free agency more valuable than Danny A is Marvin Jones and Travis Benjamin Now Travis had a very reasonable contract but it also came with sandy beaches and a beautiful city

Michael GiardiVerified account‏@MikeGiardi
source says Rishard Matthews believes there is more opportunity for him in Tenn. won't be 4th option at best

I always wonder how important this is to WRs. I would assume most WRs would like to be in a O where they can get more balls their way ect where a team like Pats spread it all over.

eh. LaFell was targeted 140 times in '14.. Matthews in his 4 year career in Miami only was targeted 165 times. No WR for Tennessee was targeted more than 70 times last year..

Either that's a Pats spin job or Matthews should have researched it better

Harvin Holmes Streater are the Free Agents I still would want

Goodness, Chris you are having a wide receiver induced meltdown. Gather your thoughts and post when your have new things to add, I ask this of you. Chiming in every 4 posts to repeat the names of players who you have traded for on Madden adds nothing to the discussion.

Justin Hunter is a scrub. He runs no routes and has done nothing as a pro.

Andre Holmes was cut by the Pats and nobody is showing interest in him after he failed to beat out past Raiders greats like Rod Streeter.

Michael Floyd is on a team that is aware that he's good, he's probably not on the block. Percy Harvin is a poisonous person to have on a team.

Big and fast guys are guys you covet on the Pats. That's understandable. Having a panic attack because the Pats aren't overspending on WR the first two days of free agency is really not understandable, because if you've seen this movie before, you know that's not how the movie goes.

We're really sweatin whether we can find a few wr's?

Wonder how some other teams must feel. E.g. Denver. Denver's best case scenario for QB next season is overpaying Ryan Fitzpatrick to pry him away from the Jets. Trip on that!

What's with us missing out on WR's?. Last year Percy Harvin and Stevie Johnson pass on us, and this year Jones and Matthews pass.
