It's exciting to have the possibility of something better back there, that's for sure.

I make no predictions on what the guy can do, but can't you just imagine when other teams waive a guy and then the Pats scoop him up? It's gotta be, "oh, damn it."

Is Flowers actually injured? Or is this just a move to free space?

Figured Cleveland would be cut at some point, but they must like his skill set with Williams gimpy.

Thanx for posting this and bringing it to Goodell's attention.

We'll be investigated now and lose a draft pick.

And it will be all your fault!

I love my school but we hurt this guy's production in college. It is good to be a fan this team and our front office. I think they know a bit about players who they can use in their chess match.

LOL I like playing "find the paranoia" as much as anyone, but I highly doubt the Commisoner of the NFL is reading this message board in his spare time.

Plus, when you IR someone, you obviously send a formal report to the league detailing why.

When i was much younger I remember getting all pumpwd when the Pats signed guys - guys like henry ellard, terry Allen etc. I remember they signed ellard mid season in maybe 97 or 98. All of us on KFFL thought he was going to come in & catch 6-85 every game. Turns out he was old as schitt and way passed it and lasted like 2 games...

So why did the Skins release him?

So why did the Skins release him?
He was on their practice squad, Cowboys knowing about the hype he created in Houston from High school signed him up on Nov 4th. Lewis went down on Nov 8th. I bet BB started to look for similar players like Lewis. Then out of no where, Jerry decided he needed space for an OL and released Williams!. Nobody else claimed him on waivers till it got to us. The fact that they put a waiver claim for him makes me feel good that they had scouted the guy and with what Lewis was able to do, they are opened to someone like him.

I guess we will have to wait 'til next year to see the future HOF pass-rushing combo of Rufus and Flowers.
Flowers was drafted to eventually replace Ninkovich at LDE/LOLB. He has a similar makeup and playing style. Grissom offered more with his ability to rush from the interior and he is better on special teams.

Welcome to the Patriots T Williams and please take note of the following: This opportunity is a rare gem for an on the bubble player looking to make a career in the NFL. The potential for multiple meaningful snaps for a contender team nearing playoff time. So while you can only do what you can do on the field, you can do a lot off field. Watch film, study the Patriots, practice, focus on not letting mental errors be the reason you don't succeed. Be fanatical in your off field pursuit of Patriot football.
I hope you succeed. And if you don't? Just don't let the reason be because you weren't as prepared as you could possibly be.
