I used to love going down to the Pubs and chatting with the locals. Used to drink a "snake bite" which was a pint of Harp (Stay Sharp to the bottom of the glass) with a shot of apple cider mixed in. :D

Good times.

That takes me back

Bummer! He was a force that clearly influenced our O to do extra.

I have another selfish reason for feeling bad: I was hoping his injury was not that bad so that our OL could face his toughness and quick burst when we play them again, which would be a good experience for our OL in the playoffs.

I believe Brady has set a goal of 19 - 0.

IIRC, it was 2003 and Brady told the team after a loss that they were not losing another game. The Pats did not.
And that loss was to the Redskins, who coincidentally are the Patriots' next opponent. Although the 2003 Redskins would probably beat the tar out of their 2015 counterparts.

It's weird. I don't really care about being undefeated, but at the same time I can't really picture the circumstances for a defeat. Except maybe if everything is all sewn up and you are resting starters in the last garbage time games and it happens. But with Brady going full throttle I can't imagine where it would be OK to lose. The Giants? Um, NO. The Broncos? They have a good defense but I feel like they are a paper tiger beyond that. Jets? I would throw up and so would TFB. I dunno. Whatever happens, happens, I guess.

Oh my lord. I remember that guy. Him and his Chris Chambers signature (or was that Randy McMichael)? Seemed like we had a lot more "outsiders" in the forum back in the day.

I don't get all the abject terror of the Giants. This isn't the Giants that lucked out a couple of SB wins. Assuming continued decent health, this year's team handles the Giants with relative ease. They wouldn't be as tough as the Jets.

Not terror just a healthy respect for what is in my opinion a good team who will play us at home. They are 4-3 but could easily be 6-1 So I think it is fair to treat them with a healthy amount of respect. Also looking at their roster they have some talented guys and are not the best match up for us.

Beckham is going to be hard to take away no matter what we do. He is just one of those special players. They have a few others guys (Randle, Vereen, and some other role players) that while not play makers can get open and catch the ball and know how to play well in this league. Their running game is not all that good but serviceable and enough to keep you honest. They are a team that is not shy about throwing a lot which is where the Patriots are weak.

While their D does not get great pressure they ball hawk pretty well.

I am not saying I don't expect a win cause I do but playing on the road against a winning team is not usually easy.

Look at the Colts game. We were better than them but playing on the road and they have 1 very fortunate play (and 1 very stupid play to kinda even it out) and it was a hard fought game against an inferior opponent that was close for most of the contest. I see this as such a game very possibly.

In those games if you make that 1 mistake late in the game things turn bad for you fast.

OK, fair enough. I definitely want undefeated.

That would only be icing on the cake for me. Cool if it happens but I'm not praying to the football gods for it. Just hoist the Lombardi Trophy again in front of Goodell and I'm gravy.

May not be a blowout but that is because Denver's defense is decent. They have literally kept Denver in each game while their offense has done everything to give those games away. Peyton is having a really tough year. I think it's a combination of subpar OL, new hybrid offensive scheme and Peyton's noodle arm strength.

Green Bay will be a good measuring stick for them. I think GB destroys them to the tune of a 14+spread.

GB 35 Den 21 (Trust me. I'm probably ranked 130 in Alamo's Predict the score competition after last night )

I agree with the outcome but not the score.

GB 24 Den 13

Denver D will hold GB down a bit and GB's D will not let that bad Denver O into the 20s.

I was going to predict a 20's type score but I think Peyton may throw another 2 or 3 Int's. He had trouble against a Browns defense and Green Bay is much better defensively.

If Peyton throws a few ints in his own end it could push it to the 30s for sure.

Out of the remaining regular season games, the best QB we have to face may be . . . Eli Manning!
