We should trade for him. Certainly could use his help, we have lots of CBs to be coached up, and he has shown he knows how to rise to the occasion when the Lombardi is on the line (admittedly not as spectacularly as Butler, but still...).
Exactly. Poteat had been cut in the preseason and out of football all season when the Pats called and signed him six days before the divisional playoff game.It really is incredible. Poteat was signed right before the playoffs started and had a critical role in 3 games.
If that happened now there would be panic in the streets.
Poteat replaces Law on roster
He was the prototype JAG. Spent his first three seasons with the Steelers, then played one game in two years before the Pats signed him for the postseason. He wasn't much more impressive than Coleman or Melvin, except now we have the benefit of hindsight.Hank the Man was no inexperienced, undrafted guy when he signed here in 2004.
I wish we could sign somebody like him to our 53 right now.
Today everyone on this board would proclaim the prospects hopeless.
BINGO!To be fair, they said that at the time as well.
I'd be fine trading a #2 for a good CB in lieu of our annual over reach for a Safety in the second round. Since Gronk, the only useful second rounders have been Vereen and perhaps JG. And we should be getting a 3rd round comp pick for Mevis.
Its the results that matter.
If they win the SB, then everything that they've done has been that of process and circumstance.
If they lose the SB or do not advance due to bad CB play, it's on BB for not adequately restocking the shelves.
Fair or unfair that is reality.
I'm pretty confident that they'll make a trade within the next two weeks.
The other 3 positions are locked down and fine and they have players who can play slot and dime. They need a reliable CB2 who can play man and zone.
That is not rebuilding the secondary
Yes.
The difference is really in the front 7. Guys like Kyle Love and Brandon Deadrick don't make it out of TC in 2015.
When you say 3 spots are locked down who exactly is the 3rd? I assume you count McCourty and Butler, but who is the safety opposite McCourty? Chung or Harmon?
I heard he's playing the bass in a Funk/Disco bandDoes anyone have Earthwind Moreland's phone number?

So will coleman start on the outside on sunday along with butler? Is that the scenario we looking at?
Chung is the starter. DMC slides up on pure passing downs and Harmon comes in. Combine the two if you'd like. The point is that they aren't scouring the waiver wire for replacements like CB2When you say 3 spots are locked down who exactly is the 3rd?
