Was travelling between houses for thanksgiving, just watched the game. Woah...physical game.

That line needs some coaching up this week to be ready for those weasels next week.

2015 Patriots points per drive:

Is there a better find in the NFL this season? I just hope he stays injury free.

Thru the first 5 weeks, i'm not seeing one.

What makes it even better

Yesterday, the Colts made a couple of minor roster moves that are at least worth noting. The team signed defensive lineman Kelcy Quarles to the active roster off of the New England Patriots' practice squad, and to make room for Quarles the Colts waived running back Dion Lewis. .

Elfin' priceless. Also:

DT Kelcy Quarles has been plucked off the Patriots' practice squad in a corresponding roster move. Lewis looked like he might get some playing time when the Colts signed him on September 9, but they're apparently satisfied with Boom Herron behind Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw. Under-sized at 5-foot-8, 195 pounds, Lewis owns a career 4.8 YPC through 36 carries.

Pro Football Talk.

Also Shread while impressive is not someone we could not do without. Flowers/Grissom I think would be able to fill in and you would not all that bad off though you would lose something.

Lewis has look very good but White has looked good this year in limited reps. Again you lose something (Particularly on change of pace run plays) but you could survive without it.

.

Good post aside from these two statements.

Sheard is immense and consistent. Flowers and Grissom cannot be spoken in the same sentence at this point. Maybe in a few years.

Comparing White to Lewis is equally laughable.

Do you think Dez is there to catch 4 yd passes?

No but a healthy Dez might demand double coverage which would open up other options such as Whitten.

Now I can go to various Cowboys forums and listen to people complain about losing a game everyone in the world knew we would lose.

Well, think of it this way, at least your star quarterback didn't get sold down the river by his league & commissioner whilst being gang raped by other fan bases & the media for 8 months right after winning his 4th Super Bowl, his 3rd SB MVP....and all for doing nothing but be a true professional, winner and leader for virtually every day of a 15 year hall of fame career.

Sheard is insane. He was my binky the year he came out. I'm glad we finally got him. He's such a football nerd. Perfect Patriot.

Good choice. I remember Mike Reiss having a woody for him too. I was disappointed we didn't grab him at the time. But getting him now seems almost perfect as he's honed his craft a bit despite being underutilized. Superb pick up!

Sorry if already posted.

This was actually a player adjustment.. whether by Gronk or Brady, I don't know (or it isn't clear) but IIRC there is a lot of player input on adjustments. The key receptions by Gronk reflect this.

I liked when BB brought in Williams as a third tackle, with Cannon after Solder left neutralized Hardy.

Better make sure that foot is fully healed, though. Foot injuries that aren't allowed to properly heal are devastating for WR's.

True. Dez apparently received PRP therapy, or "platelet-rich therapy, where the patient's blood is drawn from one part of the body, treated in a centrifuge and then concentrated platelets are injected into the area in need of treatment."

Maybe he can turn into Captain America or something.

Anyway, I forgot to mention that we get Randy Gregory back for NYG too. I don't know if you guys have had the opportunity to watch Gregory, but he's ridiculous. He looks like he's been in the NFL for a few years. He completely dominated through the preseason and dominated the Giants 1st round LT in our first game until he was injured. He's an exciting player to think about.

I think CJ Spiller is a pretty damn good player, but he's constantly hurt. I doubt anyone on the Pats coaching staff envisioned Dion Lewis being this great when they inked him last year.

I agree. But they knew how great he is when they inked him this week!! Smart play & great negotiation timing by the front office.

Prelim on J. Charles is a torn ACL. Chiefs are 1-4, and they just lost their best player. That's another place to look for trades.
