Any updates on Nate, and the O-Line cannot repeat "CANNOT" let Brady get sacked over and over like that again i'm pretty sure BB and the coaching staff will be having a talk with the O-Line players about that.

Swarming defense.. many different defensive looks, lots of moving parts very impressive. Justin Coleman??
Neutralizing Whitten... very good day for the D.

The O started slowly, but no turnovers.. 5 sacks in the first half and 0 in the second, look on Hardy's face priceless...

For all you X and O guys, what was the halftime adjustment that prevented any 2nd half sacks after giving up five in the first half?

Good game Pats

Ugh

That Dion Lewis, irritating little dude. It's like Lesean McCoy and Darren Sproles had a baby.

Don't roll your eyes, it could happen.

Anyway, impressive first qtr by both teams defensively, but I knew it wouldn't last. I knew the Pats would get on a roll, and when they do that you have to score, and we simply do not have the offense right now to do so on a consistent basis.

Yeah, that's a good team missing that much. the league is mostly crap. If you guys can squeeze into thew playoffs and gets some guys back, who knows.?

All through the draft process, I compared Shaq Mason to Jonathan Cooper of Arizona. Watch the LG (#64) on the second play of this video (at 0:11). Remind you of a play we saw tonight :)

The first half had you wondering what was going on, but the adjustments they made in the 2nd half wee very effective. The game was almost boring, except the defense was doing an excellent job (bend but don't break) and Amendola's catch that was called back (followed up by JE11's 59 yarder).

Weeden had to keep taking the dump off passes. he may have had 19 in a row (or close to it), but it probably amounted to less than 4 yds per catch and maybe a bit for with YAC.

That refereeing was the worst ive seen since the replacement reffs a few years ago. And i think even they were bettter that clete.
I don't think BB thought hardy would be as good as he was do to not playing in over a year.

I had no expectations for Hardy. I thought it would take him a few games to get into a groove, but apparently not. Solder is a great LT and Greg owned him a couple times.

Collins has to be the leading DPOY candidate

Shane Vereen had 838 total yards and 5 touchdowns in 16 games last season. Lewis has 418 total yards and 3 touchdowns in 4 games this season.

Teams that go deep in the playoffs get guys back from injury late in the season. We are only going to get better after this game, because Dez is coming back.

I want to see what Weeden can do with an elite WR on the field.

it was nice to see Byron Jones play really well - there aren't many that can shut The Gronk down for a half. And even on those plays where Gronk beat him, Jones' coverage was tight, it's just that he got Gronked. He did, however get Gronked a lot less than any other defender this season. Very nice job.

That's a mighty fine defense you've got there.

....

Supposedly Reiss said Hightower came back into the game, but the Pats downgraded him to out at the half, so it seems unlikely. Harmon was back out there for the last couple of series.
.

I didn't see hightower come back and the announcers said emphatically he was ruled out for 2d half. I think they had Freeney playing his spot, at least he was out there a bunch of plays. They said ribs, which might mean hightower misses a week or two, but isn't a killer injury at least.

Harmon just had his ankle taped and then was back in a couple plays later.

Most worrisome injury was they said one of the OT went down (elbow I think).

I like Cranky Bill during presser.
"It's not magic"
"We're not gonna wait until halftime"

I wanted Abdullah in the draft - who'd have thunk we already had him. That TD of his reminded me of Catherine Zeta-Jones in the scene with the lasers in Entrapment.

I was a bit curious about the end of the half kickoff with three seconds left. Why wouldn't you want to squib one and burn the clock on the kickoff?

Instead they gave Dallas one play to take a Hail Mary if they wanted. Of course with weeden they just ran a kneel down, but they could have taken a shot.

If you remove Butler's coverage snaps from the slot, he's been as good as any CB in the NFL on the outside. He also has the ****y/confident attitude to be the next elite CB.

Love this kid. He's allowed the defense to play this well and is looking like an all time UDFA find.

It's just awesome that we haven't had to revert to a soft zone defense. As long as the #2-4 CBs are decent, this defense is great.
