SI Now Jumps on Board With Another Story - Unbelievable

I think hearing about all this paranoia is great. The Pats are in everyone's heads and I don't think that's a bad thing.
For sure, it helps them on the field, so long as NE itself isn't distracted by the onslaught of questions coming from this crap. But I believe BB will have schooled the players & coaches on how to answer those questions.

During one Patriots road game last season their opponent suspected a man was illegally videotaping them with an iPhone from the visiting sideline. The man wasn’t wearing New England team gear, but the people who were filming during Spygate often weren’t wearing team gear either. It felt too much like Spygate II for the home team’s liking, and the man was kicked out of the stadium.

I love how BB & co are in everybody's head. You can't make that stuff up..

One person who knows Belichick well says he does not consider the coach “a cheat.” But he acknowledges that, while others might simply obey a rule, Belichick will search for loopholes and gray areas to exploit—he’ll “study it and take it to the nth degree.

“This guy is two steps ahead of everybody because he is so brilliant. If you’re going to walk the line, every once in a while you’re stepping over. Sometimes somebody has to pull him back in. In his mind, he thinks: I’ll get an advantage and somebody else can figure out if it’s illegal. My job is to coach a football team.”

Hammer. Nail. Head.

Just as I've been saying for years. Bill is not a cheat for the sake of cheating. That is not and never will be his M.O. The "edge" he gets is treading where other coaches fear to go. The risk of course is Spygate happening from this approach but that is the chance you take from such a coach.

I'm glad he's on our side and not coaching against us.

These storys are we told you to shut up and take the punishment or we were going to leak everything and anything we can about your supposed past transgressions.

I read that article with a great pride and admiration for BB. He's so good that everyone's jealous. I'm happy he's our coach.

Don't worry. We've been assured here in condescending tones that nothing bad from the league will happen. It's childish unwarranted paranoia on our part to even speculate that the league might yet again come up with some jamoke scheme to derail the Patriots' post season juggernaught. Just because it's happened more than once before does not mean it will happen again. The 31 & Goodell have felt the wrath of influential Bob Kraft and dare not mess with us again.
If there is a (non-troll) poster on this forum that doesn't think the NFL is out to get the Pats, I'm not aware of it. Hell, I think most of us are prepared for a season of nonstop anti-Pats propaganda and anti-Pats officiating with a boatload of Pats players being called out by the new concussion protocol. It's going to be ugly.

It's pretty hard for players to defend themselves, but teams have almost no recourse, legal or otherwise. The Pats will be public enemy #1 until they return to mediocrity, or the NFL corruption is purged.

Also gotta wonder if Defamegate came about because they filed tampering charges agonist Goodell's beloved rodents.

Defamegate followed about one day after the charge.

Smells like a full-blown NFL-driven smear campaign in progress. Nice job Krafty.

The bully continues to bully the weak. F@@king makes me sick.

Not sure why people are putting these two hit pieces on Kraft. This is a result of them losing to Brady in court. If Kraft fought to the death this stuff would still come out.

That what I got out of all this.

How many paragraphs describe elaborate precautions teams take when playing the Pats, only to note meekly at the end that 'they've never actually found the Pats doing anything'.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

BB should leak his dirt on everyone else if that story about him having a whole laundry list is true.

Mark Cuban is right, the NFL is going to implode. It is sad that major netorks and magazines give the NFL a forum to spread their lies.

Unnamed coaches? Goes back to league sources/unnamed sources. It just doesn't get any better than this.;)

Ian spotted this a mile away. This article took time to write. They've been working on this for awhile and pin their hopes on the sheep to eat it up as truth.

Bleacher report already got a hold of it. It's not allegedly, it's "they admit" to sending employees to steal game plans.

Did the NFL* have these all ready to go in the event they lost the court case?

I think this was a planned and coordinated effort. We have seen this act before.

The first business day after the long weekend.
Stories hit the newswire approx 930am...right on schedule.
ESPN has Goody at 930...right on schedule.
The first official week of the NFL season.
Thursday Night Football.

This will be talked about all week and it's exactly what the NFL wanted.

Anyone who is wondering why Greg Bishop's name sounds familiar, he was with the NY Times during Spygate and acted as Arlen Specter's PR rep writing what Specter wanted in terms of Matt Walsh.

Isnt rosenberg the guy who wrote some crap before about the pats?

This is funny. Ignore the noise

So how many former players and coaches have come and gone from NE in the past 15 years? Way too many to count. And not a single one of them has ever come out to say that NE cheats. Not one! Yet, anonymously, it's no problem to get this stuff printed. I wonder why...
