Been thinking about why the NFL would go after the Pats and especially Tom. Both the team and the qb put the lie to the notion of parity. Whether the Goodells of the world want to admit it or not, Tom makes the draft look silly. A 6th round pick is unquestionably the GOAT. A team formerly known as the Patsies is the team every other team wants to emulate--and this in the salary cap era--a salary cap designed to promote parity. Taking away high picks and keeping Brady out for a quarter of the season is Goodell's bumbling way of trying to implement parity and help the Jets, his true love, but he hasn't been watching BB closely enough. Even if all the penalties are upheld, the Patriots will prevale and the Jets will still suck.Can't wait until the mediots put their spin on this one.
