it shows the pats didn't value harris alot.

I think Harris will still be there at #42 (only 14 picks from now), as I can't see anyone who really needs a run-stopper at LB in the second round. Even if there is, we can still take a cornerback, an OLB, or even an OL. Plus, we almost 100% get the 49ers' third-rounder as well based on the draft value table.

49'ers first rounder next year and fourth rounder this year for #28.

(er's 4th this year and thier 1st rounder in 2008. Nice. 9er's will be better this year. Hopefully it's in the middle teens.

1st next year is a great trade. I wish they could have gotten SF's #3 this year.

Pats need help THIS year, not next. This is the big SB push year. Tedy Bruschi's and Harrison's last year. As well as Brown's.

Wow, not so sure about this now. 1st next year and 4th? Not even a 3rd?

I was hoping for a #2 this year and #1 next year...that's what they got from the Ravens.....4th? I don't know. That's pretty low.

How about a 2nd and 3rd this year?

I stand corrected.

On the upside, this draft isn't anything to write home about and next year could me much better. On the downside, you can't just keep saving up picks...eventually you have to spend them!

Gotta think the extra tradeable day 2 means they'll do some moving up later today.

I think they'll be fine. Perhaps now they can combine a couple of day two picks to move into the 3rd for a second time.

I honestly hate this trade and feel that the Pats didn't get enough in trade from the 49ers. Especially considering that the 49er will, very likely, make the play-offs next year

Not sure I'm real happy about that. What do we need another low round pick for?

It's great if SF stinks, but i think they're improving. Without a second or third round pick, the only way we win is if SF s**ts the bed.

Great trade for SF if they are confident.

'Course Boller was drafted at 19, not 28. This is a great trade into a deep draft imo.

I'm going to hold off on judging this one until tomorrow.

My first thought: WTF?

My second thought: there are supposed to be a lot of interesting players available in the fourth round. . . .
