I do think its really funny how many "journalists" are really mad that BB and Brady wont just cop to this and are giving an explanation that doesn't go along with their preconceived notions. They have no evidence that this explanation isnt true and yet they feel that they can already call the patriots liars, its just too funny.

Yes. That was the most important revelation, I thought. The Pats don't set the ball pressure; the refs do.

Peter King is still acting as if the football arrived to the refs exactly the same.
BB said that the way they prep the balls causes pressure change. Then they return later to equilibirium.
He also said 'we tell the refs to pump them to 12.5'. So, if they were prepared just before delivering them, then the refs pump them up, then they return to equilibrium thats 1 to 1.5 psi, then the weather/temperature accounts for another .5 to 1. The Colts balls were probably prepared in Indy and were at equilibrium so the .5 to 1 drop from conditions would be well within the range.
BB actually conducted tests. Peter King actually is a moron.

Why would they do that? The Media never admits that they are wrong. They devastate lives and when they are done, they say oops with egg on their faces and leave the damage behind them. Don't look for an apology. They will never give it. That scumbag at the Herald had to give an apology. He was ordered to.

I'm now convinced that there will either be no punishment or maybe the nominal $25k fine. There are too many variables to construct a circumstantial case, and BB and Brady have obviously bet the house (+ then some) that there is no evidence of any tampering by NE (easiest explanation for that: There was no tampering).

Even Kraft's presser makes more sense if one assumes that they are confident (or know) the "investigation" is just going to end with a whimper.

1. I echo the earlier question - who was asking about "pushing the envelope" basically saying "duhh Bill we in the media have convicted you of always bending rules as much as possible, so why would you disagree with that narrative..." to which he replied with the 80,000 people comment, and most importantly EVERYONE ELSE IN THE LEAGUE DOING IT TOO

2. I love that he used physical proof. So many #'s being thrown around without any context at ALL about things like fluctuation due to temperature or CALIBRATION of instruments.

the media loves accusing people without evidence.....but once they get called out on something and look stupid they tend to spend more time digging themselves a hole to try and make themselves seem right

1.Refs never did anything other than a squeeze test. If they did, they need to produce a document of PSI's of all the balls
