I am lucky to be going to the game and I also went in 2007 to AZ to the Game that Shall Not Be Named. In 2007 I think Pats fans hung out at a place called The Vine, but when I look it up now, it seems like the Patriots Fan Club of Arizona hangs out at a place called Toso's Sports Bar & Grill, not the Vine. Anyone have any intel or info on where we should hang out in full Pats gear the day before the Super Bowl?

I'd say the 'Pink Taco', but the place has closed

I went to the Vine party in 2007 (Feb '08). I met NEM there!

Me too, but I didn't know if I should mention it. There's aleady enough controversy going on around here! Are you going to the game PJ?

Haha, it wasn't too bad. He was nice enough.

I'm not sure if I'm going, Deb. I've only been to two Super Bowl's ever and they were the last two. People think that I'm a jinx and I've actually had people (jokingly?) threaten me so I don't go. Some people are saying the third time's a charm and I should go. Other people are telling me that bad things come in threes and I shouldn't. I'm really on the fence!

This is funny because I am going with a friend of mine and I was a little hesitant because the Pats always seem to lose if she and I watch a game together (apart there is no jinx). However, when I think about it, it's probably because we watch some big games together (and yes, she and I were together for the 07 Superbowl, but not the 2011 one). I'm going with the people who think the 3rd time is a charm. I think you should go. Who knows when we'll get there again?

Ha ha, that's a funny similar story to my own. You're kind of talking me into it. I'm like 52% in favor of going now.

Live a little do it the more pats fans there the better. And yes personally I think the third time is the charm.

Do the right thing and stay far away from Arizona. I have been to five games at Gillette and all of them losses. Two of them were playoff losses Ravens 09 and Jets 2010. I have banned myself from Gillette for any playoff/important game. That is my sacrifice for the betterment of the franchise and fan base. Please follow suit kind sir.

See, this is why I'm conflicted!!

I'm 10-1 at playoff games at Gillette. 0-2 at Super Bowls, goddamn it!

Look at it this way, Patjew. You're 0-2, so what's 0-3, or one more loss?

However, on the other hand, if you don't go, and we do win, you'll be kicking yourself for the rest of your life.

If you go, and we win, you'll have something to tell your grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Another good point. Aargh.

I think anybody that can go should go. If I had the available time off from work, you would have to murder me for me to not be there. Unfortunately, as much as I love the Pats, I love my levelihood better. Maybe next time.

Since I am obviously going to need a drink or 2 when I finally make it to AZ, I am bumping this thread. Is Toso's now the place to go?

You guys are atill going despite the mess the pats are in now? Ticket prices migt be dropping due to the scandal, but I don't know if my heart is in it anymore,
