Nice Game Green Bay, But..

Well jeez, the Packers just beat arguably the best team in the NFL but they won't get by SF or Seattle? I think the Packers would destroy the Niners.

As for this game and the woulda shoulda couldas, Davante Adams dropped a TD pass as well. He could have had 2.

Also regarding Seattle, they are a much different animal away than at home. If the Packers get them at Lambeau I'd say their chances of beating them go way up. And right now the Packers have the inside line on home-field advantage. Tough away game next week against Buffalo.

A hard fought game. Enjoyed it. Hats off. Hope to see the Pats in February.

Not to be facetious, but normally huge momentum != 3 second-half points.

That's a 7 point swing, gives packers a nice lead to open the half, and they forced a pats 3 and out. The pats gave up to many big plays and couldn't stop the packers when needed. Hard to fault the offense and blame them mostly for the loss. The defense couldn't get key stops again, like the past playoff losses

Well you've lost 3 straight games to the Niners including at home in freezing weather when Kaepernick played as average as he usually does. And great defenses tend to travel well. I have full confidence that Niners or Seahawks could beat Green Bay rather easily.

Not this years niners. They are terrible offense.

Seahawks, maybe. I doubt it would be easy though. Niners? Not this year.

I guess that means those 2 teams would easily beat the Patriots too eh?

Did anyone notice toward the end of the game Brady yelling pass, pass, pass on the sideline? Seemed like he thought they should have run more

The odds of there being a rematch are not good. The Pats will have a hard time winning the AFC. When playoff time comes around McDaniel's tries to be too cute. Also if anybody saw the Broncos game tonight they ran the ball right down the Chiefs throats. They come into Foxborough and do that they could beat the Pats.

Kaepernick is awful. If GB can handle the Niner defense, they win easily.

Belichick tried to steal a game without showing GB to much assuming this is a very possible SB match up. I got no problem with this loss as the rest of the schedule is pretty fair and we will beat GB when it matters most. Reminiscent of 07 when we beat the Giants at seasons end only to lose in the bowl.

My opinion doesn't amount to a damn thing, but I fully agree with you.

I think that Green Bay has the inside track on the #1 seed, and a fairly nice path to the SB. I would have a difficult time envisioning a team like SEA, SF, PHI, etc going to Lambeau and winning.

One punt. One. The entire game. The saving grace for the defense was that the long drives were ending in field goals instead of TD's. But that is the reason for the lopsided T.O.P.

So you are saying that the offense only staying on the field for 5:52 minutes until there was only 6 minutes left in the second quarter didn't affect TOP ? Until that point you are looking at 3 drives with an average time of below 2 minutes.

Come on! I thought the game plan was pretty good. If someone told you before the game that the Pats would take out Cobb and Nelson most of the game, forced the Packers to kick field goals all game, and held them to 26 points; you would have thought the Pats would have won by at least two TDs. I think the Pats lost this game on offense, not defense.
Agreed except the offence never had the ball . Bend but don't break kept our offence off the field all day

The offense didn't have the ball because when they got the ball, they were punting after a minute or two of game time.

You can argue that the offense never gave the defense a break. Because every time the defense got off the field, the offense went 3 and out or 5-6 plays and punt.

It depends on how much blame you're putting on the offense for those failures. I can just as easily say that Green Bay's defense did their job and got off the field while our offense was still in our own territory and, because of that, gave them the possessions needed to pull off a win. Our defense wasn't stopping them until they marched into the red zone. Big difference.

man to man killed us.

Based on what I saw, the results weren't much better when we played zone. Green Bay has the personnel to exploit our secondary. Give Dennard more reps and let him get back into playing shape, and this should change should the two teams meet again in the Super Bowl.

Good post and I agree. If Green bay holds home field (I think they will), they're in good shape. I'd worry about Seattle a bit, as they're starting to play much better all of a sudden (the same way I feel about Denver - NE needs to hols home field!). The 9'ers - meh.

And the Eagles can always be tough, because Sanchez can suck or he can be lights out - schizophrenic team.

If the two teams out there yesterday meet in the SB, it's going to be a GREAT game. And that kid Rodgers? He's pretty good.

Patriots played very, very vanilla on Defense. I have to believe it was intentional. Why give Green Bay some looks when you very well might be facing them again? If it was intentional, I have no problem with it.

Given it was a 5 point game in Lambeau, where the Packers have been trashing everyone else, I'll take it. Next time will be on a neutral field. Both teams played ok, both had some mistakes. It was a fairly even game. Put them on a neutral field with the Patriots showing different looks for pressure on defense, and I like their chances.
