Mangini 17th longest coaching tenure

A sign of the times in the NFL's coaching carousel: Eric Mangini (according to today's Reiss blog) is already tied for 17th-longest head coaching tenure with the same team, as a 2nd-year coach.

It is pretty bad when half the coaches are only in their 2nd consecutive year OR LESS coaching with the same team. That's half that were new last year or will be new this year. Yikes!

To think that it is Joe Gibbs 4th consecutive year with the Redskins... seams like it was only yesterday.

So half the coaches have 2 years or less experience and the league-wide average is about 4 years with the same club. It makes us appreciate what we have here in NE after the years of coaching musical chairs.....
