yep. That's a policy i really want Belichick to change, when it's out of reach sit Brady and let the 2nd stringer close it out.
The thing is, they've done that in the past. I don't know what, precisely, it was about last year (and to a lesser extent 2011*) that kept Mallett off the field altogether. You would think that they could at least have sat Brady at the end of, say, the Steelers game or the Ratbirds game, but no.
*Yes, I know Hoyer was there, but even he only got one pass attempt the entire season.
