Glad to hear it, thought Clayborn was worthy as well but Ty was an absolute beast in our secondary during those first two SB runs. A true shut down corner whom we really missed for years once he left.

GREAT player. Amazing ability to cover and play physically; he should definitely be a Pro Football HOFer eventually as well.

It goes without saying that I hope Revis reminds us of what a dominant #24 looks like this season.

Ty is the best CB in Patriots history. Well deserved. Cant wait for 2 24s on the field at once.

Although I'm biased since Ty is one of my favorite Pats ever, this is very well deserved. Not sure if we have ring #1 without his pick-six. And was a huge part of that 2003 defense for ring #2. Had outstanding seasons both years for us.

Nice!! Well deserved. Ty was a great Patriot.

I'm sure his family will be proud. ;)

Raymond Claybourne says, "Hi."

I watched both and I would say Law was better. Still, Clayborn should of already been in since he was the best up until Law. I really don't know why he has had to wait so long. It just doesn't make any sense.

He should be saying hi in a Red Jacket already but its not Ty's fault Clayborn has been snubbed but Ty is better and the right outcome came from them both being on the same ballot.

I'm 100% sure we don't have ring #1 without Ty Law. Ty Law was the true MVP of SB36, or co-MVP with Otis Smith.

He is my favorite Patriot. I'm very happy about this induction.

Well deserved. Ty Law deserves the honor!!

The reason why Clayborn is not in is due to the limited numbers entering every year(1), and as much as I agree about him be worthy of this honor do not see it happening with the retirement of so many of the leaders in the past decade.

True, the longer a player does not get enshrined the tougher it is to get in. Since the process is based on fan voting, it is heavily weighted in favor of those who most recently played. The more recent retiree is fresher in people's minds, and many voters may have never even seen someone like Clayborn play.

If you're a young fan casting your vote, who are you going to choose: the guy you saw make many great plays, or the guy you never saw play and only read about? On top of that many people that aren't familiar with the older player start to think 'well if he was that good, then why isn't he in already'.

While it is nice that the Patriots create fan involvement in the process, but in doing so it makes it next to impossible for older players like Clayborn or Houston Antwine to become enshrined. The only time that I can think of where that was not the case was in the first year of fan voting, in 2009, when all three finalists (Antwine, Jim Nance and Jon Morris) were guys who played in the pre-Foxboro era.

I'm sure his family will be proud. ;)
Actually, and this is not a joke, I sent his wife a congratulatory message about the induction and she replied that they're all really excited about it. Our kids went to school together and were friends. I get the joke and it's funny but they're super normal people.

I was younger at the time it happened but I never really held any ill will toward Law. It sucked to lose him but I can't hate on a guy looking to try to maximize his earnings.
