Not a huge loss IMO, he's more the player of the first 13 games than he is the last three. I'd like to see Ridley get back to his 2012 form and draft a RB.

Wendell is not guaranteed 2/$6m he could be cut in camp and it would cost the Pats $850k

Give Bolden 165-170 carries and I think he puts up to close to what Blount did last year in the regular season.

People really started to overrate Blount because of two games.

They are also forgetting that Vereen can run the ball too. He had a 5.1 avg in college on the ground. Guy also put up a 100 yard day on the ground with a broken wrist.

What do you mean, Blount didn't even do it on a consistent basis. He played good in two games and wasn't even a factor in the other games.

I'm not too concerned. Blount did some very good things for us last year but I always thought Ridley is just as good if not better. I'm still hoping we can get a more serviceable back to go along w/him not named Brandon Bolden.

I was hoping they'd re-sign him, I thought he was a nice compliment to Ridley and Vereen. Oh well, I'm predicting a pick is used on a RB now, though I hope it's not until the 6th or later. I'd hate to use a higher resource on the position when there are others that could use better competition.

I respectfully disagree, he's the perfect back for the Pats to split carries with Ridley, perfect for those cold weather games to pound defenses. Big mistake losing him and not having a Plan B (sign Moreno). Now the Pats have to waste a pick on a running back.

That's a great signing for them. He fits right in with what kind of team that city typically likes. This will be somewhat similar to them getting Bettis. Although not HOF fame good.
