You'd think after the dominant fashion in which we won, there'd be a positive statement on our performance at NFL.com.

As per the main image/headline: "Tom Brady and the Patriots' ground game slithered its way to a runaway victory over the Colts."

'Cause that's a word with positive connotations. And of course over on the Broncos board they think we got all the calls tonight (didn't we not get a single one until well into the 2nd quarter?)...

I honestly hear BB in the back of my head: "Good. Feed off their hate."

To everyone gushing about our running game... part of that comes from Brady. Defenses HAVE to respect the passing attack and worry about play action. But when the running game is legitimately working, defenses have no idea what's coming up next. The Pats ran some "lightning no-huddle" tonight, they ran the power game, they sped up and slowed down when the situation dictated it. You could basically predict their next offensive play, but it didn't matter, they knew what they were doing. Virtuoso performance by BB and McDaniels.

i believe the first penalty against the colts came in the third quarter

TOP and the running game will be the keys to beat the broncos (i think they are going to win)

As long as they give it their all next sunday..i won't worry that much about a loss. Team has a lot of heart and it shows every week when they are missing key guys

I wanna talk about players that i thought had a bad game today as we have seen people talk about good players a ton.

#1 McCourty - Not only did he have suspect play and let some passes over the top he also broke up an interception that Dennard probably would have had (though i give him a bit of a pass for that one).

#2 Vereen - KC throw to RBs 16 times last game against Indy and i had Vereen penciled in to have a big game. However he dropped some key passes and was mostly a non-factor and was pretty much not used in the 2nd half after a bad showing in the 1st half.

#3 DBs not named Dennard or Talib - I think Arrington/Ryan were not that good today. Not as bad an underproformance as McCourty or Vereen but i saw them both get beat too often.

Just some things we want to shore up for next week and i expect better games from them.

Glad someone caught this. Belichick snubbing Pep Hamilton over the "signal stealing" comment. I saw this live, he didn't even say anything when they shook hands. Love it.

He gave him the old "fake hand" too.

was anyone else relieved that nobody accidently gave collie a concussion with headbutt celebrations, after he caught that third and short pass for a first down?

saw somewhere that Brady passed 6000 yards passing in the playoffs, the first QB to do so.

also first QB to go to an 8th conference championship game.

BB one win away from tying most postseason wins record for head coaches. Brady already has most postseason wins record

Granted its only been a handful of games, but Siliga looks like a potential 2014 starter at DT.

Gonna have 6 SB appearances and 4 titles. Brady will be 20-7 in the playoffs and bb will have 21 hc playoff wins. They will have both GOAT spots for their positions locked down.

i didnt follow the game thread, was there the usual "mcdaniels is awful" "brady is losing it" "brady isnt a good qb he has no tds" Nonsense?

Incredible game today, my only wish is a little bit more play action passing. it seemed to work almost every time.

Blount is a monster, Hes our most dynamic running back, not ridley

Without watching the game again, Ridley seemed to have that extra wiggle. Sure Blount took one to the house (safeties cheating up and the backers sold out and got creased), but Ridley seemed incredibly effective tonight.

Again, the run game was effective enough it seemed silly (to me) to pass on second and eight, or again in third and six. We were gashing them all night on the ground.

I know Denver can't contain this power game, and I doubt ADw cab contain it. That said, I'd prefer to be in Colorado to seeing SD come here. SD could throw the run game back at us. Denver, not so much, plus we have the secondary to line up with Denver.

Said to myself i had to sleep after the game before i comment here but i really cant. what an aswesome game. our next rival will plan more for the run and maybe our passing game will be more loosen up. thats just great.

Some observations.

1. Alfonzo Dennard is a difference maker. hopefully he can stay healthy because our secondary is a strength with him as our #2 CB.

2. I definitely see why BB drafted Collins with our first pick. he had the game of his life. Looked solid rushing the passer as well as in pass coverage. that interception was impressive how far he got from the line of scrimmage and his speed in pass coverage.

3. I like this ground and pound pats team. It makes us much more agressive and physical. which has been a criticism of pats teams in the past. I'm not afraid of playing anyone really because the way Blount has been running we can move on anyone. Plus if teams want to start putting 8-9 in the box brady will pick them apart all day.

4. solid game from Amendola/Edelman...but I would like to see more from Vereen/the rookies. Austin collie always seems to come up with a big play when we need it when he's on the field.

5. Alot of people will talk about brady throwing no TD passes. but I thought he played a great game. converted what? 66% 3rd downs. made his throws count and managed the game. He also made some real tough throws. To be honest if we can win when brady doesnt have to do much thats a good sign

If you take away Blount's 73-yard run, Blount and Ridley had similar YPC.

Agreed, with three caveats:

1. His natural position is the same as Wilfork's most usual position.
2. I hope there's money for Kelly.
3. I hope Armstead is awesome.

"me no understand, me season over?!"
The Colts coach probably told Andrew Luck:

"Playing quarterback in the NFL, so easy a caveman could do it."

At least Luck looks the part .....
