Should we draft a RB in the late rounds or do you think we are all set?
thanks

Draft for Practice Squad depth.

Early Day 2.

Nope we are gonna trade out of the 28th slot into the second round and take Brian Leonard. I am on record, so when it happens I want the credit.

Leonard is the only one that I would want.

Leonard is the only one that I would want.
Day one, there are a couple who would be decent late Day two to involve in the full min/training camp process for depth on the Practice Squad or as injury replacements if the worst happens to a veteran.

I do not think we are set at RB and would love to see another added to the roster (either day 1 draft, trade or FA.) My personal choice would be through the draft and I would take either Hunt of Penn State or Leonard of Rutgers.

I think that Michael Bush from Louisville is going to be a hellofva RB in the NFL. Her has the size and the speed. He broke his leg last year so he has fallen off alot of radars, but he can be had in the three round and would be an absolute steal there.

With all the FA moves we've been making as well as the anticipated infusion into the defense from the draft, we will still have a major problem with an injury to maroney for any appreciable length of time. can we win the SB with Morris, Faulk, and Evans?

If another team had let him go we'd probably be interested in signing Dillon. If someone like Leonard is available late in the 2nd, perhaps we move up and take him.

Are we set at RB? No.

If LoMo gets hurt we're in some do-do since Morris isn't exactly an every down kind of back. Neither is Faulk, Evans, etc. We need a solid, young option for a RB from the draft. Someone with size and some speed, maybe a guy overlooked or poorly evaluated by other teams. I'd rate our needs for the draft - ILB, then SS, RB/CB even need, ILB again, O-line, D-line. Until Maroney lugs the nut for a whole season as the feature back it's all potential, not reality. And I'd rather see a young highly rated rookie splitting carries with Lomo than see Morris do it. Sammy is a ST/Insurnace policy to me, not a main backup for LoMo. I wouldn't blink if the Pats take a day one RB - it would make sense.

It makes sense to have a backup RB. Denver always seems to have 4/5 RB's that they use.

I think we should draft two LB: DeShawn Wynn to take over the short yardage duties (because let's face it, Maroney is not good on 3rd and 4th and one) and Garrett Wolfe to ease into the Faulk role.

I don't think we have enough running backs. There is no reason not to develop another in case of injury.

Do we still have Q. Hill on the practise squad. He's a big boy isn' t he?

yeah. 6-2 228.
With a frame like I think he can pack on more muscle.
Should be good camp competition for Evans and maybe even as a RB/FB a la pass - assuming he can play ST.

But losing Dillon, we need a 230lb power back.

Michael Bush in round 2 on a trade down
Brian Leonard in round 2 on a trade down
Chris Henry in round 6
Tony Hunt in round 2 on a trade down
Brandon Jackson in round 4
DeShawn Wynn is round 4

are all situations I wouldn't be displeased with.
