what a question to ask. who plays more on the inside Vrabel or Thomas?:rocker: :rocker: :rocker: :rocker:

I would say Vrabel. Thomas has the skills to play many posistions -ILB included- but he is at his best by far when able to use his athleticism on the edge, especially rushing the passer or in coverage. Thomas is capable in the middle, but often seems stunted. Vrabel tends to play equally well at either posistion, and he isn't getting any faster, so he might be better suited in the middle.

Vrabel. Thomas is a better pass rusher and much better in coverage.

A nice question to have to ask. :)

I'm guessing Thomas. Vrabel excels both at pass rushing and, it is said, jamming receivers (TEs). I.e., he's much better on the outside.

Versatility is a beautiful thing, but ideally you want Vrabel rushing and Thomas pass-covering rather than the other way around.

Good question.

Current LB

OLB - Covin, Woods
ILB - Brushi, Alexander, Mays
ILB/OLB - Vrabel, Thomas

Still only 7 signed (or almost signed), at least 2 spots to go likely one of them will be a spot starter (maybe a TJ type run stuffer) at ILB and then at least one draft pick.

Ideally they use a rotation across all the LB spots, trying to keep the 3 of their 4 best LBs on the field (Bruschi, Vrabel, Colvin, Thomas)

I envision a 3 man OLB rotation of Colvin, Vrabel, Thomas with AT moving all around the line. I expect BB to sign a runstopping ILB veteran and Draft an ILB in the 2nd round.

Izzo, Gardner, and/or Davis say hi.

I certainly want to see one or two more no-apologies ILBs, but there isn't THAT much room for new bodies.

In one year, Bruschi will retire. Vrabel will be inside and the play-caller. I say Bruschi and Vrabel inside, Colvin and Thomas outside. But Thomas is like Vrabel, he could go inside or outside.

Great use of "No Apologies ILBs"...so true...BB has made a statement today...no more spare parts.

Maybe one of the three, I would rather the other spots go to draft picks.
