Defensive end. I think the Patriots are going to sign Adalius Thomas. I don't really see them taking a WR in round one either. Pats need serious help in secondary and LB
From what I hear the Bears have Briggs set but somehow nothing is etched in stone there and for the right offer reports say the Bears may still think about giving him up....That to me is a better chance happening than BB to overspend on Thomas
This thread has given me the best Google ads yet:
One for stockmarket tips (picks), one for locksmiths (picks), one for cooling tower repairs (draft) and one for air circulating cooker hoods (draft). Awesome!
Oh, and to answer your question:
1. Quarterback
2. Linebacker. I have learned to expect the unexpected. That would really fool me!
Adalius will be going to 49ers at least a 90% probability it happens IMO..The niners have 34M in cap room..too much difference for Pats to outbid unless the Niners somehow see another FA that they want to sign to big dollars as well,Otherwise we are up against a mightier team in the cap dept and don't see it happening.
From what I see the 49ers are desperate to get some of that charisma back from the 1980s again and start winning like they did then...and they want to get it done FAST,Adding Adalius is one of the ways to improve your chances.
Supposing a Brady Quinn type was available in the 2010 draft when Tom is in his tenth year as a pro the last year of his current deal. Would that be the time. Or 2009 perhaps?
your dreaming, the pats arent going to be in a bidding war with anyone, why do you think they change their philosophy? Both teams can afford him. The 5m difference only comes into play if the 49'ers offer him a 135m deal over 4 years. Then yes, the patriots can't possibly match that. Adalius might want to come to a winning organization as well. I think the deal is going to happen.

Have you ever considered that the 49ers are about to become a winning organization? They have 8 picks in the first 4 rounds, a stud QB and TE ( who has more upside than Watson, Mills and Thomas combined) and don't have to face the Chargers, Patriots, Ravens or Colts until the Super Bowl - and only pull off one upset, not two as we found out this year, is hard to do. I'd bet that the 49ers are championship game caliber next year and top end team for the 2008 thru 2011. Have you seen Frank Gore run? He will probably rival LJ and LT as one of the top 3 backs next year. Be bullish on the Niners. And they can probably convince Adalius the same.

You forgot to put tight end in your poll.
