I understand your position on the issue (that you'd rather be pleasantly surprised than crushed), but already having Hernandez off the team seems to be jumping the gun just a bit, no pun intended.

Kontra, it doesn't have anything to do with having him off the team (though if he'll indeed be arrested I wonder if you'd like to reevaluate) but being proud to wear the jersey or put a four-year old (my nephew) in it.

With evidence of probable cause they could arrest him in order to motivate him to talk in more detail; offer a plea or immunity for testimony on the shooter. Myriad possibilities outside of arresting him personally for murder. Or not. We'll hear the charges soon.

Well, this isn't good if true. Usually with high profile cases such as this, a high ranking police official usually holds a press conference and releases some of the details about the case that weren't present before. I hope that comes quickly after the arrest so we have more to work with.

By the way, if Ahern is arrested, it wouldn't surprise me if the two punks that cops hauled away from his home yesterday implicated him in a plea deal.

What about - Ahern was driving around with some friends and his girlfriend's sister's boyfriend. Later that night the boyfriend was shot by someone else completely unrelated to Ahern or anyone of his associates due to a dispute/mugging gone bad/etc.

How is that not a rational explanation? None of us know timelines. None of us know details. I'm not saying the above is what happened I'm saying that unless there's footage or details or whatever there are plenty of rational explanations that don't involve a gangland execution masterminded by Aaron Hernandez.

One question, why are the usual suspects of doom and gloomers who disapear during good times magically appearing again on this news? I won't point out specific posters, but I count at least three posters who only show up after losses or post on game threads every time the Pats don't look good posting in this and other Hernandez related threads.

Do you guys just sit by your computer waiting for stuff like this so you can come on her and sell your doom and gloom crap?
