Stop feeding Deus Irae guys. At this point you could tell him that we're on planet Earth and he would tell you we aren't.

motor issues??? as in he dogged it his senior year on an 0-12 team? I think you should pick another flaw besides "motor issues"...this is a bit ridiculous given that..

Ole Miss suffered through a miserable winless season in 2012, but Collins continued to shine despite the lack of talent around him. He was voted to the All-Conference USA team after piling up 20 tackles for loss and 10 sacks - third in C-USA - to go along with 91 tackles total - which was 26 more than any other Rebel.

I've also read "experts" knock him for "over aggressiveness"...."motor issues" + "over aggressiveness" appear to be mutually exclusive to me. His performance in 2012 on a team that DID have motor issues across the board is in direct opposition to the idea that he showed "motor issues" in 2012.

If Tavon Wilson was the second best rookie in last year's draft, there was no need to draft a safety until the 7th round.

Adrian Wilson
Tavon Wilson
Devin McCourty
Steve Gregory
Nate Ebner
Malcolm Williams

The New England Patriots already had six safeties under contract prior to the 2013 NFL Draft.

Malcolm Williams and Nate Ebner aren't safeties. They were given that position because the special teams positions don't have assigned positions. Ebner shouldn't ever see the field on regular plays. The fact that we needed him last year to do so was astounding. Though Ebner

Malcolm Williams is headed for the Practice Squad again or to be cut.

People also talked about how they didn't like Gregory. I thought he did ok for his first season in a new system. BB might not have thought so and decided a change was needed.

I wonder how much Bacarri Rambo regrets not entering the draft last year...

Well if having 39.5 tackles (19.5 & 20) for a loss and 16.5 sacks (6.5 & 10) in his first two years as an OLB/DE after being a DB the first two years in college came as a result from having motor issues then I can't even imagine what he might offer if his "motor issues" got fixed.

Stop feeding Deus Irae guys. At this point you could tell him that we're on planet Earth and he would tell you we aren't.

Reading some of the posts, it's pretty clear that there's a contingent here who aren't on the planet right now. ;)

And Chad Jackson flamed out out spectacularly. Sometimes this can be overcome. Usually, it can't.

If I was going to bet on anybody providing the right guidance, it would BB. I guess we will find out.

we dont need Blount, and have no obligation if he doesnt measure up, the ball is completely in his court

he can easily find a spot on this team and we go into the season w/ 5 backs, or he wont and we go into it with ridley, vereen, bolden, and leon

however, if Blount can regain his rookie form, this is a spectacular move

Oh man. Ravens just got Kapron Lewis-Moore.

I read your entire post the first time. The team's "coverage" LB was hurt early last year. He's back. Even if he's not capable of getting the job done, taking one in round 2 was completely unecessary.

Except that Collins isn't JUST a "coverage" LBer. He actually can rush the passer. Imagine that. Helping out our pass rush.

OH, btw. Since you glossed over it. Ninkovich is a free agent after this season. He'll also be 30. This follows what BB prefers to do in getting a player in and getting them acclimated to the position that they'd like him to take over. But, yes. You're right. The Patriots should run around like chicken's with their heads cut off going into free agency next year because they'd only have Jones, Bequette, and Francis under contract for DEs.. If that happened, you'd be complaining about them not planning for the future..

So while we're waiting, then how do you guys feel about Tony Stark's, I mean Elon Musk's plans to colonize Mars?

They can just sign a 33 year old veteran olb/de that gets cut next year ;)

How did he do in the 2006 draft? The 07 team lacked depth in critical areas, that's why it failed in the end.

Just what areas did they lack depth in for the 2007 season? Since you seem to forget, their entire roster was SET prior to the draft. The 2007 draft was considered the worst draft, talent wise, by numerous people. It's why the Pats were so eager to use their 2nd and 4th on Welker and Moss respectively.

Another sweet ass value pick by the Ravens in Kapron Lewis-Moore. If he recovers fully from the tear in the BCS championship game he's a great fit for their scheme.

And character issues can be fixed by mentoring, ie coaching.

It really depends. All the coaching in the world didnt fix haynesworth.

You don't agree that the team already has 3 starting LBs and a coverage LB? You don't agree that coverage LBs can be found later in the draft and after cuts?

Collins will play DE in the 4-3 Under that the Patriots play and OLB in the 3-4. Much like Vrabel and Ninkovich before him.
