Re: fans soDan Shaumething to post about ...UGH
With all due respect, Patchick, in regards to your initial question: Yes.
1) You think that was a POSITIVE article about the lucky Patriots having everything go their way????????
2) And btw, CHB started derisively calling Kraft "Amos Alonzo Kraft" 14 years ago (pre-SB wins) when he personally timed Tebucky Jones in tryouts with a stop watch. He has never meant that as a compliment, Patchick.
Time for reading this with eyes open:
"What happened at Reliant Field Saturday was consistent with the history of the Bill Belichick Patriots ever since Walt Coleman invoked the tuck rule on that snowy Saturday in Foxborough 11 years ago. The Patriots are very good, but they are also amazingly lucky. Whatever they need to have happen, happens. Things fall into place. The Patriots always get what they want."
I'm sorry, Patchick, but if more people read that and say "Oh, what a nice complimentary story about the Patriots", then it is all over. Anything can be pulled over the reader's eyes. He gets away with it because too much of the readerships allows him to.
Am I cluelessly missing the sarcasm here? Cause yeah, I do think there is no bigger agenda at work.
It takes a heck of a conspiracy theory to say that a newspaper is scheming to undermine a local sports team by running POSITIVE articles about them. Or by using a nickname for the team's owner that links him to a seminal figure in football history. (What's next, Bill "Lombardi" Belichick? The horrors!)
