I'm with you. And given that we expect Gronk, Hernandez and Fells on the active 45 each week, wouldn't you want another solid TE?

Drayton florence was let go by the Broncos. He has some decent numbers for his career, including the past three seasons and is still, only 31 and could be a decent veteran presence at corner. Is he worth the Pats taking a shot?

Our base offense is 2 TEs.
Compared to last year, we have upgraded WR2, and are uncertain about who fills the dynamic roles of 85 and Tiquan Underwood.

Drayton florence was let go by the Broncos. He has some decent numbers for his career, including the past three seasons and is still, only 31 and could be a decent veteran presence at corner. Is he worth the Pats taking a shot?

Drayton Florence is terrible. Terrible.

There is no advantage to waste a season on IR. Especially to keep one of about 5 players who won't be here 10/1.

Branch or Gaffney will be back my thought is that Branch was released because they are designating Demps as the player to return on IR which requires him to be on the 53 man roster till 4pm on 9/4.

Have gotten official word from the Patriots on his IR status yet?
