Voting on Patriots Selection #27 Only!

Trading the pick isn't an option in our mock.

I vote Mark Barron.

He may not be the ideal fit, but we need depth at that position badly.

While I am not in love with the board, I guess I will put in a vote for Devon Still, but Kendall Reyes is intriguing.

Another vote for Mark Barron.

Though memories of the Big Bang Clock leave me with unjust reservations.

I posted this on the wrong thread and deleted it. The issue still seems to be open.

If Mark Barron is still on the board at #27, how can you not take him?

When the real draft is done, I'd be hoping for Hightower at #27 but Barron would not be a bad consolation prize.

It is and you could have very well broken the tie. :singing:

So far I have it as:

8 votes for Mark Barron
7 votes for Devon Still

patsfaninpa voted for both of them lol but the most recent post is what counts.

I know there were a few other names mentioned, but these 2 appear to be the clear frontrunners.

Voting ends in 7 hours from now.

Best D line guy

So Devon STill would be it

a little nervous with Penn State scheme though

Pressure trumps coverage

I'm going to go for Nick Perry as it appears Cox will be going to Houston by then in the mock.

I completely agree with the reasons at the start for the thread for why the Texans would want Cox if he fell. The Texans can get O Linemen and WRs in round two or three....if they took Cox they would be unbelievable.

OMG!!! That makes it 8-8 in the Barron-Still stakes. Need to get a vote in for my one true love:

I vote Mark Barron

although Still is my second choice :)

One of the main reasons I voted for Barron was because at 31 you should still have a chance between Still and Reyes at 3-4 DE being available and to me there isn't that much seperating them at that spot.

The problem with Crick is he showed up at the combine at 279lbs, which is way too small to play DE in a 3-4. If they stay with a 4-3 base I wouldn't mind him, but if we return to a 3-4 I think he simply doesn't fit. I like him as a player, but not as a fit. I think he ends up going mid-late 2nd round as a 4-3 LDE.

+1. I liked him a lot till I also found out that he has short arms.

My vote goes for Mark Barron S Alabama.

Chung can play FS or SS and BB doesn't really like to designate one or the other. Barron has show he can cover and play in the box. We have the luxury of letting him heal and if for some reason Welker isn't signed to a long term deal and we have to Tag him again next year we may not be able to resign Chung in FA.

Chung can play FS; he just can't play it well.

David Wilson RB he can pass block catch and run and he's fast a every down back is what the pats need or Michael Brockers DT a big body next to Wilfork would help the run defense and the pass rush

The J-E-S-T already took Brockers at 16, and picking another RB in any round, never mind the 1st round, is absolutely horrible.

I would love to vote here, but until Mark Barron performs a workout, I wouldn't know whom to choose.
I'm still not sold on Still (pardon the pun) either; if I was ass-ured that Reyes would give everything he had
on every snap, I might take him ahead of Still, anyway.
That's my decision, and I'm sticking to it...unless I change my mind again.

If Barron is there at #27, no brainer.

so your vote is Reyes?

Significantly better than Chung can?

BTW, when is Barron's workout scheduled?

I think he's an ideal center fielder personally - great ball skills and reads the QB exceptionally. But then I'm a huge fan so I would think that. As for his workout, best I've found is the end of the month.

Devon Still would be my pick @ 27.
