Yeah, he was. But, see, he was in this bar last night and these guys in a corner booth were yakking, and, well... you see where this is leading.

Did someone offer him a dragon egg?

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

I heard him too. When he said that it was Josh's idea to use Hernandez as a running back, I knew it was BS. That was not the first time that he's run the ball this year. But the conversation was good for some chuckles. :D

It's not the first time he has run the football, but in the game against Buffalo did Aaron's carries come as the HB with Brady under center? I was under the impression he lined up beside Brady in the shotgun and ran the ball on draw plays, in that occasion.

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

his username was NEInsider.

Here's an old thread on him:

Have yourself a good laugh reading about how Crable was his favorite pick.

Perhaps appropriately enough, there's also a poster who signs his post: "J.D. Sal"

Yes... I posted that.... (Not my finest moment).
He had a lot of people going on the ESPN board.
I bought it hook, Line, and Sinker.

I remember he posted an article about Terrence Wheatley that would
make Champ Bailey jealous.

PFT actually got hold of this info and posted it.
After 7 posts the guy vannished.

Too good to be true.

I can't remember but his stuff was entertaining. Some of it actually showed some decent insight on stuff. If he wasn't trying to bull**** everyone he could have registered here and actually brought some value to this forum.

Edit: Ok after reading that, I take back everything I said. I was going off memory!

I am pretty sure he has never run the ball other than on end arounds prior to last Saturday night. I don't know if it was McDaniels' idea, but it was the first time he ever did it.

If it was McDaniels' idea, I am excited to see what he will do next year with all the toys he has. Hopefully the guy who said it is a real source and we get to see it Sunday.

I thought he only ran it on an end around where he lined up in the slot or the wing. I could be wrong there.

Let me guess.....errrrrr Rob Lowe is tweeting again?? ;)

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

Since Aaron lined up in the backfield vs. Buffalo in game 16, running 2X for 26 yards, Josh must have delivered that idea through time travel (he was hired a week later).

Hey, faster than light nutrinos say hi. ;)

More shenanigans by Belicheat!

Yeah, those plays definitely happened too. Either way, I don't recall Aaron lining up behind Brady and running the football before the Broncos game.

Welker's flying capabilities will finally be unleashed.

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

Here's a theory I've been thinking about:

Hernandez has been lining up next to Brady in the shotgun throughout the year. It's my theory that BB has been holding these Hernandez running plays up his sleeve the entire year so he could catch teams by surprise with it. The previous times where Hernandez was the RB were to show the opposition tape of AH NOT running the ball.

Thoughts?

Hey Cupofjoe, nice of you to own up to it. Thumbs up!

Plausible, but if Josh has his fingers on this O, then not only is Hernandez going to take a direct snap soon, he's going to throw it. ;)

By the way, have they run the "bad snap" play with Hernandez yet? Seems like it would fit well.

We haven't seen a "flea flicker" for awhile either.

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

Finally...the offensive alignment we've always wanted is going to happen this week.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since the cat's out of the bag....

Hernandez in at Running Back
Gostkowski replaces Hernandez at Tight End
OchoCinco replaces Gostkowski at Kicker

Try to find some film on that, Baltimore! :D

last time was in 2009 early in the 59-0 blowout over Tennessee in the snow, right, to Moss?

Lemme guess.

It was NEM's 3rd wife's daughter's cousin's hairstylist?
NEM would never give Josh any compliments.

Re: Foxboro Informant: Josh running O, BB running D, "unbelievable" packages for Rave

Hey! this all must be true....because I read it on the internet

And now I know for certain why BOB would take the Penn State job, because he knew, despite 2 unbelievably productive years as OC, he'd NEVER get any credit for taking the offense to new levels. Josh has been here a week and already he's getting more credit than BOB had gotten in 2 years. AMAZING

Looked to me like they tried to run the "bad hand-off play" that first series last week. Yikes. Glad AH managed to reel it in.

Yup, and it is one thing to line him up there for a play or two, it is another to actually feature him as the RB in the hurry up. It adds a whole new wrinkle to the matchup chess game.
