So Miami beating Buffalo would basically ice the division for us as long as we take care of business? 2 game lead on Buff and really a 3 game lead because of tiebreakers on NY.

How is it a 3 game lead where if we lose 3 and the Jets win out we're not tied; the Jets are AFCE Champs???

Out of 16 games, the same as everyone else.

So 100 million dollar deals are for just 16 games?

Are you really arguing that giving that kind of many to a RB(a position where players don't last) is a sound business decision?

Manning had a streak of like 250 consecutive starts

Brady was on a quite a long streak before a freak injury.

RBs are a dime a dozen. Every year theres some new guy breaking out for over a 1000 yards. Every year there is some top RB struggling.

RBs are a dime a dozen. Every year theres some new guy breaking out for over a 1000 yards. Every year there is some top RB struggling.

1.) Manning and Brady were QBs with top 5 "ironman" streaks, and even they will have missed most of a season. That was the whole point of my using them in the example. No position is safe from major injury.

2.) If RBs were a dime a dozen, 20+ teams, including the Patriots, would have better RBs than they do.

3.) You pay your difference makers, regardless of position.

Character concerns and a lack of scout data. Blount missed all but two games of his senior season due to a conduct suspension. He punched an opposing player after a game live on national television.

Sure you pay him but my problem is how much they paid him. He isn't worth it. And it's not like the Vikings are winning games on AP's back...the best year they had was when Favre came to town and ran the show.

Sure you pay him but my problem is how much they paid him. He isn't worth it. And it's not like the Vikings are winning games on AP's back...the best year they had was when Favre came to town and ran the show.

No team wins solely because of one player. And, yes, I'm including the Colts in that. Players can be difference makers, but you need other players around to help.

And the money is meaningless, as long as the team can afford to pay those it wants and has a legitimate chance to get.

I know the history. What I don't know is how the vaunted Patriots scouts missed so badly on the kid that the team didn't even offer any pick in the supplemental draft.

TB should be winning right now or tied at worst. Can't make these mistakes against GB. ST screwup on the first drive, Freeman pick at end of first half, and Winslow drop on teh 2 pt, just can't do that
