Bart knows things, Bart knows about football.

We should all pay attention.

8 beers in:
Can't wait for his next piece of wisdom ;). No beers in.

The Jets are definitely a short term contender. Long term unless some savvy trading and drafting takes place not so much.

Well the Jets have come up a foot or two short the last couple of years, but with the way they draft and aquire elite talent it is scary to think how awesome they will be next year.

Jet players are always upfront about what they are, unlike some teams....

Their "foot or two short" run is over.

I'd bet my house they don't even sniff the playoffs this year.

The best team the Jets had was in 09 imo. #1 D and #1 running game. Only to be held back by Sanchez.

It will be interesting to see if the Jets can keep up their recent run of success. If they make the AFCCG again this year, like everybody in the Jest organization is promising, i'll be extremely suprised.

Glad to know that Bart has finally realized after the non stop shouting of "superbowl now or never" for the past two years, they truly will be a joke if they don't win the superbowl.

Better late than never.

Jets are always "next season" Champions. "You just wait until next season!!, we'll be amazing"

The Jest organization is pathetic, and has been since the 60's.

Mr Söze,

The Jets have only had 3 losing seasons in the last 14 years.

PLEASE. Some intellectual reality.

You'll see next year,,,SB baby.

Sanchez was a liability in the regular season that year, but was fine in the playoffs.

Payton manning and lack of quality depth in the secondary is what did them in.

The O still scored only 17 points and did absolutely nothing in the 2nd half. 17 might be enough when the entire Colts O is on IR but not when he has all his weapons.

Gunnails - He showed plenty of "intellectual reality." The reality is that the Jets have been saying every off-season that the next year is "Their year" for 40 years. What do they have to show for it? Nothing. No SuperBowl trips. No AFC Titles. Just a handful of trips to the AFC Championship.

I also find it funny that you chose 14 years.. Most people would have chose 10 or 15.. You chose 14 because it ignores that 1-15 season that the Jets had back in 1996. In the past 14 years, the Jets have had only 5 seasons with double digit wins.

During that same time frame, the Pats have had 10 double digit win seasons, 1 losing season, and 1 .500 season.. And 4 trips to the SB with 3 wins...

The Jets are very unlikely to make it to the SB this year because of the number of Free Agents they have.

YOU WILL FEAR OUR WINNING SEASONS!!

oh yeah, also that "one injury away" arguement is kinda dumb, as most teams are one injury away from not being playoff teams

you know that already

Do you want the numbers on how many injury games the Pats lost during their last two SB's? Or the Colts the year they won their's? Both teams lost tons of players and still got it done.

There is a reason these two teams are at the top every year, and it's because of quality depth. Any team that is one injury away from not being a playoff team (and I mean besides their starting QB) is not a very good team to begin with.

Of course a fan of a team as soft as the Chargers probably doesn't know that already.

:yeeha:  :pigsfly:

LOL typical jester talk. Rex runs that CIRCUS. You talk BIG and FAIL in the AFCCG not once but TWICE:bricks::yeeha:

The Sanchize is here to not save the Franchise:singing::yeeha::idontgetit:

Umm..... the Jets made the AFCCG those two times. The Patriots have been home watching.

We Pats fans have to be careful how we boast. Since 2008, you've won four playoff games (all on the road, including in Foxboro) to our bupkis, nada, goose-egg, zero, zippo, zilcho.

But, that's not going to sell me on how the Jets "draft and acquire elite talent." Your organization did what it did in the last two off-seasons, for one purpose: to put a good but aging team over the top and into the SB. The result of all that was that you got stymied those seasons by two of the three proven teams in the conference, even though you did, to Pats fans' chagrin, beat one of them and soundly.

Two trips to the AFCCG in a row. That's impressive and a stat that no one can take away from you. But, until proven otherwise, I'm going to continue to believe that those runs will end up representing the highpoint of the Ryan/Sanchez era in New Jersey.

so... I rather WATCH than be a LOSER

we were SCREWED in 2006 by PHANTOM PI:bricks:

4/4 we would be in both AFCCG and SB 4/5 w/ Giants loss

JETS 0/2 in AFCCG

Do you always post drunk, or is it just that you're clueless about football as well as writing?

The Patriots were LOSERS faster than the Jets were in each of the past two seasons.

The Patriots were LOSERS faster than the Jets were in each of the past two seasons.

The Patriots won 2 AFCE Championships during that period and the Jets have won nothing.
As I recall both the Patriots and the Jets were sitting at home watching the SB, so how does that make the Patriots LOSERS faster than the Jest? Maybe it's the better regular season record? Nope, that can't be it. Or, maybe they had one more game to lose than the Patriots?
