Agreed. But it wasn't like the Jets' offense killed the Pats in the playoff game. The Pats gave them several really short fields to work with (after the fake punt and the onsides kick). I mean, they didn't shut the Jets down, but they didn't play terribly overall, I don't think.

Bottom line: The Pats need improvement on both sides of the ball. One pick can only address one need. Gotta use other picks to address other needs.

Me too. I'm starting to think BB is looking at guys like Jenkins or Ellis in the 2nd round. As much as I wanted a defensive player with 17 I yield to Belichick as usual. I didn't want oline in the 1st round. But after seeing the amazing stat of Solder only allowing 5 sacks in 1400 pass attempts over 3 years I changed my mind. Scar will do amazing things with the kid. IN BB WE TRUST. Or in this case DS.

Okay, at #28 I think Ryan Williams at RB before Ingram, both good, Williams more explosive and reportedly a better receiver.

Wilkerson might be the DL, but they can get Jarvis Jenkins mid second so if there's a CB they might like - like Dowling - maybe they go that way and wait for Jenkins. This one goes either way.

If NE wants another top OL to compete at OG - Ben Ijalana. With Watkins and Carpenter gone, Ijalana is the next best OT to OG conversion in the wings.

I still like Bowers, but he can also wait and if they miss there's always Bailey.
