Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco, Matt Cassel, Matt Ryan, Josh Freeman, Michael Vick, Eli Manning and Mark Sanchez.

Just curious. Make your list and rate these Qbs 1-10 with 1 being the best and 10 being the worst. My list above is in NO meaningful order, just listed them out even though Sanchez was listed last :p

Notice I didnt mention Brady and Manning. Totally different tangents.

1.Ben Roethlisberger
2.Drew Brees
3.Eli Manning
4.Philip Rivers
5.Matt Ryan
6.Michael Vick
7.Joe Flacco
8.Josh Freeman
9.Mark Sanchez
10.Matt Cassel

I have to admit winning Superbowl's does mean a lot in my eyes.

I would insert Rodgers at #5
I would also insert Romo between Vick and Flacco.

Bump Sanchez and Cassel out of the top 10.

1. Drew Brees = extremely accurate, dedicated, and consistent at a high level. He can carry a team if its not filled with talent or, a lot of players on IR. Sacked less so excellent pocket awareness. This year he threw a lot of interceptions, because of his injury, but I like that even if he throws 2 in a game, he can still brush it off and beat you. Really good focus on whats important. That and Im a homer. I think if Brees was the QB of the steelers they might have more than 2 rings. Saints held him back for awhile,he inherited a 3-13 team with a newbie HC, and horrible defense .Outstanding leadership, bordering on the Brady level.

2. Ben Roethlisberger = pretty accurate, and consistent. He cant carry a team, but he's rarely sacked. He's only above rivers because of 2 rings. Great game focus, and leadership.

3. Philip Rivers = pretty accurate, somewhat dedicated. He can carry a team, but has a problem finishing big games. It seems he losses focus sometimes, and lacks a certain leadership.

4. Josh Freeman = Hes a Big ben type only smarter. Very dedicated. I put him here because of what I think he will do. Good leader.

5. Matt Ryan = Normal accuracy, pretty dedicated, but has a weak arm, and low mobility in the pocket. Cant carry a team, but a pretty good leader, and excellent game focus.

6. Michael Vick = Normal accuracy, great arm , and amazing mobility. My problems with vick is his dedication, ability to win big games, and he always gets injured.

7. Joe Flacco = Normal accuracy, great arm, horrible mobility, and I question his dedication.

8. Eli Manning = Id actually put Eli above Freeman if he would get his act together, but he’s been in a 2 year slump, I don't know what is going on with him. He seems more inclined to party than work at being a great QB. Leadership is questionable.

9. Mark Sanchez = Very dedicated, pretty good mobility, and great arm. Ive seen flashes of greatness, but it hasn't lasted long. Not convinced he has the intelligence and quick decision marking ability to be at the great level.

10. Matt Cassel = just a really good normal QB all around.

After going through the rankings listed in this thread, I'm with you. I think far too many people are under estimating Freeman; I suppose that's due in part to Tampa Bay rarely being televised in New England. Granted some of that may be because many of the rankings in this thread are more of a look back than a look forward, but I think Freeman has a very good chance to have a better career than some of those other, more well known quarterbacks such as Flacco, Cassel, Sanchez, Eli or Ryan.

I agree, I consider him the biggest threat in our division. He calls Brees all the time, and has Brees's QB coach from college as his QB coach on TB. Freeman is a very intelligent person and very driven. I think if people took a harder look at Freeman they would be pretty impressed with the kid. Hes going to be a problem , and might ending up owning our division when Brees retires.

brees imo is one more super bowl and/or MVP away from being in tom's and peyton's league.

We see it like this.
PM and Brees are equal. Brees wins most of the stats wars vs PM, but we also think Brees was given a raw deal in his career. Neither PM or Brees are in Bradys level. If you look at the leader boards, not only does Brady do amazing well, he also has 3 rings.

In our minds Brees would need 3-4 rings with his same performance to equal or best Brady, that goes for PM also. I really doubt its possible for either QB to accomplish this level of performance, seeing it's a team sport.

Brees is an awesome Qb. Even though he had a tough season, he is still in the top 5 to me and will remain there. His team was plagued with injury this past season but he still managed to play well.

Yeah, people forget his Schottenheimer years. Sometimes, given his talent and the expectations I have of him, I find it hard to believe that Brees has only been in the league two years less than Tom Brady.

8-10 are really a tossup for me, I liked Freeman's year last year but I need to see more going forward. The other two are the glaring weak points on otherwise strong teams.

I'm on the same page pretty much. Brees's level of clutch and poise should put him above Peyton. He seems to play with a sleight chip on his shoulder like brady(maybe the height factor).

I believe Brees completely won the job of starting QB in San diego over River with his preseason and practice performances, thought it came down to a height/durability issue(correct me if I'm wrong)

Not sure why Rodgers isn't on there:confused:(waiting for the up coming super bowl performance?)

Mork Sanchez on any list is a total joke

he's nothing more than a puppet...4 downs to make a yard and he's off running to the sidelines yipping like a strangling chihuahua begging Blubberguts the Toe Sniffer to tell him what to do...put him on Detroit or St Louis and he's a pale imitation of Rick Mirer.

Brady is an enigma. A 6th round drafted to a HOF coach team. He just had it, and is an incredible leader,QB, and person. No one expected Brady. He did everything on his own, and got it done. People that believe the NFL is so simple that you don't have an off day or you cant win 10 SB in 10 years just don't get the game. Brady's not going anywhere until he gets 2 more rings to set himself above the rest, we are positive he thinks this way. Remember Montana was in our division, We've seen these QB's before.

Maybe if Brees was dealt N.E. or a better team, he would have had a better career, but he wasn't, he was sent to worst team in the NFL. Pretty impossible he or anyone will match Brady/Montana after 4 rings, and Im sure Brady will never quit till 4. Brees is a good QB, person, and leader, and fits our way of life to a tee. We've had that before in Nawlins, but no one with his ability, we are just going to enjoy it while it last.
No one is beating Brady in the end, thats just the gods honest truth, its to late for PM or Brees, but we are fine with that, not sure how colts fans feel.
