Terrell Suggs on Brady "I'll get the last laugh"

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

What Suggs did last year was 10x worse than what Pollard did the year before. Pollard was actually on the ground and then dove into Brady's knees. Yes, he may have intentionally tried to hurt him, but the fastest way to getting Brady down once Pollard fell to the ground was to go low at Brady.

That's quite different than what Suggs tried to do, which was intentionally run at Brady's knees.

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

He knows about the rule change, he's just trying to be a jerk.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an ACL.

Words don't tear ACLs. They talked smack after the regular season game last year and didn't go after any knees in the playoffs. There's no reason to assume they will do anything malicious. By and large almost all NFL players are above that type of intentional injury crap.

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

Not to mention, Brady wasn't complaining about a low hit, he was looking to the ref because his head snapped back and hit the ground. Not that Brady is whining, but he's looking for every yard/first down opportunity he can get.

You are leaving out one very important fact... Pollard intentionally put himself on the ground.

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

I'm sure there are a lot of things in life that Suggs is unaware of...

Well, Suggs doesn't have to try very hard. The guy is showing he is a tool.. Doesnt' even know when rules get put into place and blames a QB who had nothing to do with the rule being changed other than he was the one who was hit.

I hope Suggs rots and never gets a ring.

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

On a different note, we'll all change our tune if he ever came here and played OLB for us (in his prime)

"I wasn't even paying attention," Suggs said. "Like I said, I've moved on. I'm not worried about it. But I remember a certain quarterback in 2005 getting hit in the leg and didn't nobody change no rule.

"The world went on. Somebody else got hit in the knee, the world stops and they change the rule for it. But like I said, I'm over it. I'm ready for the Buffalo Bills, and I guarantee you, I'll have the last laugh."

Of course, I might be wrong, but (as far as I know) those rules WERE put in after Palmer went down and only became enforced more strictly once it happened to Brady as well. AMIRITE?

Agreed. He's a big jerk!

Probably. :D

I doubt it ever happens though. And I really do think he is a buffoon. The culture the Ravens team has perpetuates losing. Which is ironic, since Ray Lewis is heralded as some amazing emotional leader - yet he is the main culprit in excuse-making. He also was involved in killing two people, but that gets largely ignored.

The fact that his statement included the phrase "Ain't nobody changed no rule" pretty much tells me that he got his college education through being a jock and not because he is very smart.

"But I remember a certain quarterback in 2005 getting hit in the leg and didn’t nobody change no rule."

I got a new rule. Upcoming players in the NFL are required to have at least a 3rd grade education.

It would seem that Sizzle wants the last laugh and according to the diary of events the last word and the previous last word as well. TB was right he does talk a lot. However waiting for the last laugh can be an thankless and endless activity.

and never forget the old addage

He who laughs last....(not laughs loudest) Think's slowest :)

Though, i'm sure we'd support him if he was on our team, but he'd be called out for providing bulletin board material before a game. Brady has talked about people after games on a couple of occassions. Mostly his talking is on the field.

When you make a comment saying "I don't care if he has the last comment I'll have the last laugh" at what point does it occur to you that you are trying to make the last comment?

I have a feeling our friend Terrell Suggs has the smarts of an emu egg.

He says:
“I wasn’t even paying attention,” Suggs said. “Like I said, I’ve moved on. I’m not worried about it. But I remember a certain quarterback in 2005 getting hit in the leg and didn’t nobody change no rule.

He uses a TRIPLE negative! You don't not see those unoften? Er, you don't unsee those not often? Hmm. You can't do not negatives undo no... wow, I just passed out trying to be as ignorant as him.

I'm surprised Brady got baited into this horsesh*t....all that does is give a very dangerous team more bulletin board material. Bill needs to get all players back to zipping it....

I disagree in this case. First, it's Brady and he can do no wrong. :)
Second, I think what he said was an entirely appropriate response. Take a personal attack and turn it to football. Plus it was hilarious.

Re: Suggs unaware of Carson Palmer rule-change

In case no one else corrected this for u I thought u should know, pollard was thrown to the ground by a Sammy morris block

Not to sound obsessive of our Green friends, but this is EXACTLY what Ryan has turned the Jets into. For years the Ravens have been the 2nd place AFC north team (more like every year except 00 and 06 ) Yet from the way they've talked, you'd think they, not the steelers, won two trophies.

But you have a bunch of guys who have won nothing (who besides Lewis was on that SB team?) that talk like they win the SB every year, hell most years they finish 2nd in their own division. That's why I don't like Suggs. As a Raven, he's the definition of a loser. That whole team is. So to answer the question, yes I'd root for Suggs if he ever grew a brain, joined a real team and stopped talking like he has won something, he'd be good to root for. Now, he's just another loud mouth who talks more than his game.

Every year they're hyped up, and they never live up to it. For years this team has talked and talkedabout the Patriots,it seems like after every time we beatn them, they have something to say. and they've gone like 1-7 during this stretch. So there has been plenty of complaining to remember

Actually that is incorrect and you may need to go rewatch it to refresh your memory. Pollard WILLINGLY cut Morris' legs and then Morris fell on him and he lunged at Brady.

It is so stupid...people act like Brady made the rule. Brady does not make the rules and every QB is now protected by that rule. Also in 2005 there was a different commissioner, so maybe that is why things were different. The Ravens and the Jets seem to have a lot of similar traits.
