Given TB = TD's inability to reference correct material, it's an exercise in futility presenting an argument based on fact rather than opinion.

Career = Lewis > Mayo
Y2010 = Mayo > Lewis

An interception is worth Ten tackles. A bone crunching hit is worth another Ten

Quarterback of their defense=reads coverages calls defensive audibles and directs traffic. Jerod Mayo has not effected a game based on one tackle.{See hit on Dustin Keller} Or clinched a game with an interception. With a sport filled with emotions there is no one better at channeling them.

You do realize that Mayo reads the opposing offense and calls audibles as well, correct?

You're basing a season of production on 1 play in 1 game. Mayo does all of the above.

You can join Deus Irae on the ignore list.

And now you're making up rules as you go along?

I never seen him figure out a Quarterback of Tom Bradys stature and decipher audibles. Are you trying to suggest Mayo does it better? Go look at the polls..

Two big plays in two games.....

No surprise that you haven't been watching. Mayo's been calling the audibles for the better part of the last year and a half and is essentially the captain and leader of the defense.

As for the "polls", no thanks. I can point out plenty of instances in which the greater part of the general population places a vote on something for which they are clearly wrong. A poll on PatsFans.com isn't going to tell me much. I'd rather rely on the more reliable raw data.

That highlight reel hit was a clutch play by Lewis, no doubt. But that didn't end the game. Keller still caught what would have been a first down pass. Instead, Keller was a dumb ass and his momentum took him out of bounds before the first down. Ray Lewis had nothing to do with that play.

Mayo is the Captain and leader of a one of the worst defenses in this NFL. Is that even an accomplishment? They are bad against the run and the pass.

Keller was stunned and scared. It was obvious to anybody and ever pundit.

First of all, you don't want a tackle. You want a pass-defended, incompletion, or interception. A tackle for a LB or DB means that you failed to stop the ball from getting to the target. For example, McCourty is a highly regarded CB because of his low number of tackles.

Second, you're only exposing your lack of knowledge of the game. Mayo has identified on a few occasions this season, exactly what play is coming next from the opponent, and this has helped his teammates get the interceptions, PD's, and incompletions, you complain that he doesn't get.

When the Patriots play D, don't watch the ball or Flacco, keep your eyes on Mayo and you'll see him make the audible, and communicate. Most of the time he is the first man to audible any changes and if you watch carefully you'll see the info get passed up to the backfield.

Personnel question marks at at least one DE spot, youth rookie conversion project at one OLB spot, youth rookie learing on the run at ILB, JAG playing OLB, one rookie corner, one corner in his second year learning a new system, one safety who is freelancing a bit too much, and another safety trying to hone in his coverage skills. With personnel this young, inexperienced, and mistake prone, it's no surprise that the defense is having growing pains.

Why do you fault Mayo for issues which are clearly on the personnel? Once again, you're not making any sense.

How do you know this enough to try to make it the focal point of your argument? I would think that if he was stunned and scared, he would have done what scared football players do: which is alligator arm and not catch the ball. Not catch it, then have his momentum take him out of bounds.

The Ravens and the Patriots are not that far apart in personnel....

8. ILB's: Edge Pats (slim)

9. Safety: Edge Pats (changes with the return of Reed)

They two factors should help considerably in run defense. That is even pathetic.

Keller should of caught the ball in his left hand and then stick it across the marker.

Yes, they are. The Ravens D-Line, for example, is leaps and bounds ahead of where we are. Their OLB's are better and more experienced than our's are. Their CB's are more experienced than our's are and are performing at a higher level right now.

As for your comment about our run defense, it's not what I would call "pathetic". It's middle of the pack, and can certainly improve. But it's not pathetic by any stretch of the imagination.

Listen, it's one thing to try to form an argument over Ines Sainz wardrobe. But you're obviously woefully uninformed about your own team when it comes to where they stand and their personnel. I would recommend that you just quit while you're ahead and let someone else more informed and prepared take up your cause...

Changing the subject is not going to help any argument this isn't about Ines Sainz.

Three to two is far from huge difference in personnel. This is your point of view.

1. This speaks more to Keller's ineptitude on that play than what Lewis did.

2. Once again, Lewis wasn't even involved on this play.

Care to keep trying?

Keller was confused from that tormenting hit. There is nothing inept about Dustin.
