Man I really hope that Microsoft co-founder took care of branch's salary. 11 million in 2 years is a lot for this guy . Of course i have no idea what he can or cannot do at this point of his career :bricks:

It does mean its a dissapointment so far for Price, I heard so many good things about him, but he is slow to develop..

This was expected though. His college offensive scheme was nothing like an NFL offense, and that's one reason he fell to the 3rd.

Overpaid, the reason? Brady won't take the rest of the season developing chemistry with a receiver he doesn't know. THis is a benefit to the team this year. Guess Price isn''t ready to step up yet.

It's still timed routes. Branch is one of the best at that.

People people people... The WR rarely if ever makes the QB, it's the other way around.

did anyone think Branch was going to go to the Seahawks and do better than with Brady throwing to him? Of course he looked average...

He's coming back to where life was good, he was young and stupid and chased money, now he's realized things are different and there are more important things than getting the top dollar, more important;y he did get top dollar... so he's got his money, back with his QB that made him amazing.

With our WR options, zinging and zagging all over the field... were solid.

This is a PERFECT move... he knows the system, has the timing, brings experience to the team of the good ole days, and knows what to do to win.

If you guys actually think the WR's make the QB's you haven't been watching Tom Brady for the past 8 years... Brady made BRanch, Hasslebeck couldn't pull the trigger fast enough or accurate enough to work with Branch.

I can't forget the way he forced his way out of town, acting similar to the way Mankins is acting prior to the start of the season. Though, I am happy with the way it all turned out...

- Branch fetched the Patriots a first round pick (Seattle overpayed).

- Patriots turned around and traded for Randy Moss, who only helped them destroy the league in 2007.

- Branch comes back with a fourth, which is what we gave away Maroney for and the Hawks are paying a chunk of the contract.

Branch needs to eat some humble pie and make himself an asset to this team; a team that hasn't shown they have needed him since he left.

With that said...

Glad to have him back and look forward to seeing the fans breaking out their Branch jersey's on Sunday.

PS, remember the debates of whether he could be considered a 1000 yard receiver, despite him never having a 1000 yards in a season?

The defense will in the end determine how far the 2010 Patriots go, not any member of the offense.

I definitely agree to this, I want to see the likes of Chung, Ninkovich, Cunningham, Brace become the enforcers this defense needs to actually strike fear in people.
Watching the Vikings they are scared of the Jets defense, nobody fears us right now I think next draft is going to be incredibly defense heavy in the first 2 rounds.

The Pats gave up a 4th for Branch.

Why does this seem so......uneven to me? I don't care if he "wrote" the Pat's system, I don't think he was worth a 4th and I am expecting absolutely nothing from this guy....nothing.

You are aware that we'll probably get this fourth rounder back with some creativity in the draft, yes?
