Final record 10-6

Pats will go 9-7 and finish third in the East.

Jets 11-5
Dolphins 10-6
Patriots 9-7

12-4

I think the team cohesion will be much better this time around with Wilfork the undisputed leader of the D. With the dead weight cut off, the youth corp should be able to form their own identity.

And at this point, the offense can only get better. How worse do you get than Joey Galloway?

I can see 12 - 4.

On paper this is a tough schedule, so i'm going to hedge my bet and say 11-5

you might post a poll

11-5 for me

11-5. I'm optimistic they can do even better, but I'll go with a nice 11 wins.

8 and 8
Rebuilding the young defense
I hope they play in 2011
Should be real good by then

11-5, First in the AFC East, second seed in AFC

10-6, and that's enough to win the division.

Everyone thinks they are going to be really good. I hope you are right. I see somewhat of a down year.

I'm going 13-3 and #1 seed.

Most likely result: 11-5
Very possible, but a little optimistic: 12-4
Possible, if we stay unusually healthy/lucky: 13-3
Mildly disappointing: 10-6
Major disappointment: 9-7

Last year I had them pegged as an 11-5 in pretty much the exact same way, IIRC, and I'm more optimistic this year than I was then (Brady one year healthier + another class of promising rookies + the 2008 and 2009 classes are a year older and a year better + we have guys who are at least theoretically capable of filling some of the Seymour void).

All those rookies, 2nd and 3rd year players concerns me a bit.

10-6.

8-8

Defense will surprise some people.

Offense will struggle.

I'll hold my fire until we know what the word is out of Training Camp (including any important injuries), how they look in the second/third Exhibition Games and whether the Pats start the season with the distraction of the Brady and Mankins contract negotiations.

12-4 or 13-3.

This team has gotten very young and very fast the past 2 years and because of that you must allow for a little time for these newcomers to gel and become a forcable unit...IF they get to that point.

I think forecasts of 12-4 or 13-3 are ridiculous for such a young core of defensive players, several players of which have moved from the boys to the mens game,it may take a few years to get to 12-4 or 13-3 again IMO

IMO Best case scenerio leaves the team with a 10-6 mark and a chance at the division - 9-7 or even an off year at 8-8 is certainly possible, especially with a key injury or two.

Anything better than 10-6 is going to require A LOT of luck and some bad game plans from some of the better teams we face this year.

I look for the offense to be about 5-10th best in the league with the defense being in the bottom half in the lower teens to early twenties rankings
