Buzz growing about FAMU's LeRoy Vann | National Football Post
...scouts observed elusive kick returner LeRoy Vann...

Besides the 49ers' presence on the heels of Vann's private workout Monday with a Jacksonville Jaguars special-teams coach, Vann's campus workout was also observed by the following NFL teams: the Oakland Raiders, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.

Is there any way we don't take one of the pass catching TE's?

Great stuff, thank you. Not sure if this was posted.

From Scout.com - Scout.com: The NFL Buzz: Draft Visits, Delhomme, Rice
"New England will meet with USC wide receiver Damian Williams at USC on March 24--not to work him out, just to meet with him. But they will put Florida tight end Aaron Hernandez through a rigorous private workout on Thursday, March 18 as they continue to look for ways to bolster their talent at the position for the 2010 season."

Re: List of Pre Draft Prospects

Two prospects linked to NE.

USC?s Taylor Mays: fast and smart | National Football Post
*One guy who has created some buzz during pro day season is small-schools wideout Jeremy Horne. The 6-2, 200-pound Massachusetts standout ran as low as 4.39 on some stopwatches last week. He still has a long way to go as far as getting drafted, but his size/speed numbers are intriguing, and he should at least get a shot as a priority free agent after the draft.

*Another prospect whose name keeps popping up during postseason workouts is Indiana linebacker Matt Mayberry. On tape, Mayberry isn’t real physical and lacks ideal instincts, but boy, can he run sideline to sideline. And from sources I’ve talked to, he was able to run as low as 4.49-4.51 at the Indiana pro day and has the kind of speed that’s tough to ignore. I wasn’t a big fan of his based on his play last season, but for a linebacker to run like that, you have to think some team will be willing to take a shot on him late in the draft.

Football: Seniors show off at Pro Day | Flat Hat News
Lissemore believed the other seniors caught the attention of the scouts in attendance as well.

“I think that R.J. Archer did a great job,” Lissemore said. “He is just one of those guys that can just do it all. Coming off of baseball and throwing the ball around the way he did, he really turned some heads … I think David Caldwell had a heck of day. He had been flying under the radar for a number of reasons, but he is just a physical specimen and he really performed well.”

Archer has been projected to make an NFL roster as an undrafted free agent by CDSDraft.com, and Tribe players and coaches have said that he has the potential to succeed at the next level. Caldwell talked to several scouts Wednesday and said that representatives from the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots have expressed interest.

Offensive guard Brad Bustle, who earned first team all-conference honors as a junior and senior, worked with a Lions scout on individual drills.

The 6-2, 294-pounder, who recently trained at Perfect Competition in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., garnered the attention of scouts for the Lions, New York Giants and New England Patriots. He had a 5.23 40, a 29-inch standing vertical leap and an 8-3 broad jump to go with a 7.74 3-cone drill, 4.82 short shuttle and 22 reps on the bench.

On the lighter side, a draft website run by fishy fans gave me a chuckle:

Regarding the comment above about 'working out every draft eligible prospect', is there a maximum to the number of prospects a team can work out? I seem to recall there was, perhaps 45, but I don't know for a fact if that is the number, or even if there is a maximum number.

Teams are allowed to bring up to 30 kids to their facility for a visit, not including any kids who went to school within a 30 mile radius of the team's facility, but I've never heard what if any restrictions there are on private workouts in other places.
