Re: Jets on verge of getting Cromartie for high pick in 2011

Are you soft ? Do you know what this does to their defense ? Whatever kind of funk he got himself into in SD, will be removed ASAP with Rex coaching him up you can count on it. This is freakin devastating ! Wake up !

Wel, well, riddlle me one up......what exactly does this do to their defense ?. A guy who is sh*t scared to tackle anything that moves (case and point playoff game vs Jets), is suddenly to start laying the wood playing half his games in the cold of NY, Buffalo, NE....yea.

The guy had a banner 1 yr, and kaput for INT's....that too playing in a division with stallwarts like Raiders, KC, and Denver.

Every freakin team will run and throw to his side, cause he's a pu**y

Re: Jets on verge of getting Cromartie for high pick in 2011

Does anyone else have the uneasy feeling that the Patriots are gonna sit on their hands during the FA period while forces of darkness clean up?

Thta is exactly the feeling I have. You have to give credit to the Jets FO. They are always extremely agressive in going out and getting the players they want. I sure wish the PATS FO took this approach. Look at how their strategy has paid off

Alan Faneca, Calvin Pace,Thomas Jones Kris Jenkins, Braylon Edwards, Marc Sanchez and now Cromartie

One hell of a track Record...The PATS FO seems like they are always asleep at the wheel. Just sitting around and waiting to see what scraps are left over

That sucks cause the longer they wait the more the other teams in the division catch up and less impact now players stay available.

True, but something tells me the Pats are going to go thru the draft, and sign jag FA's ... I knew peppers was not going to happen, but the Pats now cant worry about the colts, they have to try to beat the jets... and they need to build the team that way...

Careful, spacecrime has some Koolaid for you....................You're letting facts get in the way of a good story...........

I live in SD and have been to many of the home games for the past few years...Cromartie is a stiff let the bums get him...highly overrated, avoids contact at all costs and has lost all of his confidence...and that is not even touching on his off-field issues.

He did have a good AFC title game against the Pats if I remember..

Look, he's been hurt and mentally not himself (8 children with 7 different women might do that to people), but you can bank on the old Antonio Cromartie re-finding himself in Rex's defense. I guarantee he will be back to his old, ball-hawking ways and this bad news with Revis on the other side.

Can you give us the winning megamillions # as well. i'd be happy to retire off to Cabo.

Hmmm....8 kids with 7 women. The Cro's laid more wood knocking up women than he has his entire nfl career

Maybe the homers are right... this is a insignificant signing.. Cromartie sucks and will do nothing to improve the Rats defense.

"""OH YEAHHHH!!!!"""

Hate to say it but this is a great move for the Jets. He's not even making that much either (2 years left on a 5 year, $12.5M deal according to wiki). Overrated as a #1 yes, but as a #2 CB across from Revis? That is a scary defense.

Jag fa's aren't gonna be enough this year sorry. Even combining that with the draft probably isn't going to cut it especially with the amount of holes and lack of talent pats have.

Actually if Cromartie is a bust, the Jets only lost a 3rd round pick. If he turns out to be a STUD, the 2nd round pick they lose will have been well worth it. Look BB gave up a 3rd round pick for Duane Fricking Starks. So I think the Jets are in pretty good shape here with this trade.

No question about it, Cro has definately been active on the road :)

No, the earth quake in Haiti was devastating. Who cares if the Jets bandy about making some potentially sexy moves? They're linked to almost every person in the NFL atm.

I'll wait to see what happens when the ink is dry on contracts and what moves the Patriots make in free agency and at the draft thanks.

Did you filter this by spacecrime ?

Don't forget that STUD Burgess. He cost us our third rounder this year. But he had MUCH greater potential than this scrub Cromartie.

Re: Glazer: Jets close to acquiring Cromartie from Chargers

Great move by the Jets.

Jets are putting themselves into position to be contenders every year.

Yo, Razor Ramon.......which crackhouse were you hanging out at when Pats were leading the way signing....Colvin, Adalius, Stallworth, or trading for Moss, Welker, Corey Dillon or picking up Rodney, ?????

Cromartie is a douche ... the Chargers would have been happy with a 3rd.

He was just doing his Tiger Woods Jr. impersonation, yo!

Seriously though, he needs to keep his equipment in his pants. If he can do so, he could be a ballhawk in Tubby Ryan's defense.

Well BB did say that he was our best OLB last season. And his play improved as the year progressed. I'm not convinced yet. But it's hard to suck as much as Duane Starks did. So that's a plus. He doesn't suck as much as DUANE STARKS. Oh yeah! Hi-5!
