Why does BSSPN insist on tying the Patriots to every malcontent??

According to ESPN, you'd think BB would start scouting every prison football team in the country.

BSPN isnt the only one suggesting it... Peter King was twittering about it this morning too.

The only reservation I would have about bringing Mike Vick here, would be the media circus that would come with him. It just wouldnt be worth it. Im sure Belichick prolly feels the same, given his distaste for all things media.

If winning another championship matters that much to you you better start looking for alternate ownership to root for because this one isn't necessarily going to do whatever it takes. Bob was pretty clear on that back in 2000 when he hired BB...if he won't tolerate thugs and hoodlums there's no way he writes a sociopath a paycheck.

BSPN loves to link us to players because it generates interest from without (all who hate NE) as well as within. And because this is one franchise that won't waste time commenting on or denying their reports, so they can babble on with impunity.

ITA with you. I have faith in our organization not to make such a colossal error.

Ok... So, the Patriots are now being mentioned as possible landing points for Michael Vick and Roderick Green.

I think that Myra would divorce Robert if they ever attempted to get Vick. As for Green, I've not heard anything about his court date that was the 29th of April. He's probably going to be doing community service.

Next they'll have the Pats trying to bring back John Stevens or Bruce Smith.

ESPN has brought up Vick but they are not to blame for Roderick Green - That was from Sirius NFL Radio talk show hosted by Pat Kirwan who mentioned Green's name - ESPN is innocent in this regards.

I heard Clayton this weekend. He is convinced Belichick is looking to implement the Wildcat with the Patriots. That is why he has the Pats going after Vick. I seriously doubt Belichick would add the distraction of Vick so they have a guy to run a gimmick play. Apparently, Clayton doesn't agree with me.

Personally, I think if Vick was a real fit and not just a gimmick fit and there was a need, I wouldn't be surprised if Belichick at least took a look. But there is not a fit and Vick would bring more headaches than production.

Since the Patriots already have a QB who led the nation (I think) in rushing as a QB (O'Connell), it's silly to say that the Patriots "need" a running QB to implement the wildcat. Assuming that they really want to implement the wildcat.

There is no doubt in my mind that BB drafted Julian Edelman to play a part as a playmaker in the wildcat formation that I would assume the team will use but lightly in 2009 - Edelman will make this team
