The Dolphins lead the division. They are the only team in the division controlling its own destiny. Go up North and beat a division rival that is still in the playoff hunt needs help to make the playoffs. If the Dolphins lose they are out of the playoffs.

The New England Patriots don't control their own destiny. They must win and Brett Farve must lead his team to victory over one of NE's division rival at the meadowland for NE to win the division.

The Jets like NE don't control their own destiny, their hopes require them to win and the outcome of NE against another division rival.

I'm sure they do, except that they don't control their own destiny either.

huh?

.........

You said the Jets like it that New England doesn't control their own destiny. I said I'm sure they do like it, but the fact is they don't control their own destiny either.

I may have misunderstood your post?

eta: Oh, I see, you are talking about 2002.

like meaning also.

It's similar not exactly the same...

And the opposing QB that Favre faced in 2002, is the same QB he will face in 2008, good old Noodle arm Chadwick.

Well let's hope history doesn't repeat itself when you frame it that way.

Depends on how history repeats.

History: NE and Jets both won. - I like that history I want that history to repeat.

History: Jets win the division - Jet fans like that history.

History Chad Pennington leads his team to victory over a Brett Farve led team - Dolphin fans like that history.

History will repeat. What we don't know is what version of history.

You are "TheGodInAGreyHoodie" :)

:youtheman:

You are right, need the same results win/loss with regards to the teams, it would just result in a different outcome...one that we want. Thanks.
